Shavuot 2024 will begin in the evening of Tuesday, June 11 and ends in the evening of Thursday, June 13th
Overview | Shavuot
After Yahshua’s (Jesus’s) resurrection He presented Himself alive by many convincing proofs, appearing to His disciples and many others over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God (see Acts 1:3). Before the Savior returned to be with His Father, He spoke intimately with His disciples telling them, "…behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city (Jerusalem) until you are clothed with power from on high" (Luke 24:29).
Shavuot (Pentecost) (Lev 23:9, 15-21), biblically referred to as the Feast of Weeks, was fulfilled precisely on divine schedule in Jerusalem exactly fifty days after the Feast of Firstfruits. It is written, “When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance” (Acts 1:1-4). This Feast marks the outpouring of the Holy Spirit called Ruach HaKodesh in Hebrew, as a deposit of His holy presence, power and grace in His redeemed disciples. Yahveh would have a new covenant, it would not be written on stone tablets but engraved on their hearts and in their minds (see Jeremiah 31:33). The Holy Spirit also gave them the power to obey and uphold the Almighty’s commandments and to receive His promised covenant blessings as they walked in obedience to His teachings (Torah) and commandments.
On the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4), also known as the Feast of Harvest, three thousand Jewish souls were brought into the kingdom of Yahveh as a summer harvest. Their hearts were pierced asking Peter, “what do we do to be saved? And Peter quoting Joel said, “and it shall be everyone who calls on the name of Yahveh will be saved” (Acts 2:21). After the great outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh, we read accounts of the disciples “living, moving, and having their existence in the Spirit” (Acts 17:28) allowing Yahshua (Jesus) to manifest His glory in signs and wonders, in words of truth that set the captives free, and opened the blind eyes, in order to complete the work that He began on this earth. The Ruach HaKodesh is the Spirit that separates. It literally separates us out of our flesh and its desires for this world, out of commonness, out of profane things, out of worthless things, unto the holy and the precious. It is written, “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me, and you will testify also…” (John 15:26-27). We must testify about the great and awesome salvation that has been given to us. “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Messiah, as though Yahveh God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Messiah, be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20).
Deep Diving Shavuot
- One New Man | Understanding YAHveh's Great Gift to His Remnant -
(This is transcribed from a spoken message)
This is one of the three holy Feasts that Yahveh requires all of His firstborn people to appear before Him. They were to make pilgrimage leaving everything behind, to go and seek the Holy One of Israel and to bring Him many offerings to fulfill His requirements that they might be in His presence. We had our Passover and Unleavened Bread not very long ago and during that season Firstfruits. We see Yahshua (Jesus) clearly as He is in the Feasts- the Messiah of Israel. The depth of His heart is expressed in the fulfillment of these feasts.
Shavuot is the last feast that has been prophetically fulfilled of the seven. Our Redeemer was crucified as the Passover Lamb, He was buried on Unleavened Bread at the exact time prescribed in the Torah, and He rose as that First Fruit; as that wave offering. As the Israelites were bringing in the spring harvest, the harvest of Yahveh could not be touched until the first fruits of it were offered to Him. Yahshua (Jesus) was the first fruit as we read in 1 Corinthians 15:20, to rise from the dead. “But now Messiah is risen from the dead and has become the first fruit of those who have fallen asleep". He was the first fruit of those who are resurrected. There will be a resurrection of all souls as Daniel said, “Some to everlasting life and some to everlasting death” (Daniel 12:2). Yahshua (Jesus), our first fruits, is the fulfillment of Yahveh’s promise that there is hope for those who walk in His ways.
Fifty days have passed since Yahshua (Jesus) became the first fruit of the Spring barley harvest. It was the beginning of the wheat harvest. It was a small harvest compared to the summer harvest, which will be a greater harvest of souls. When the Savior rose, He did come back to His disciples, He went through the walls of their room and He said, "Shalom Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you" (John 20:21) and He breathed upon them. The very life that breathed this world into existence breathed the life and power of the Ruach Ha Kodesh (the Holy Spirit) into His disciples, to be a first fruit to receive the Ruach Ha Kodesh. He said, “RECEIVE the Ruach Ha Kodesh” (John 20:22). Peter was transformed, they were all transformed, because shortly after that Peter became an eloquent spokesman instead of a clumsy coward, by the power of the Ruach Ha Kodesh, the Spirit of truth. Yahshua (Jesus) would send His Spirit to clothe us with power, His very Presence.
The rabbi’s consider this whole season from Passover, Unleavened Bread - the barley harvest, Firstfruits and Shavuot - the wheat harvest to be all connected. They are all connected, they have all been fulfilled prophetically by Yahshua (Jesus). We are in the summer harvest right now. Much has been accomplished by Almighty Yahveh and much has been accomplished by the enemy. Every harvest has wheat and every harvest has tares. At the time of harvest there will be many bundled up as tares. We are in that great summer harvest before that greatest harvest of all, the Ingathering in the Fall at Sukkot. Let us continue to see how Shavuot was fulfilled and to how it points to Yahshua (Jesus). This is the only appointed day of Yahveh that doesn’t have a date. He said count fifty days, count seven times seven weeks after the morrow of the Sabbath. There are High Sabbaths, it does not mean sundown Friday night to sundown Saturday it is the High Sabbath of Firstfruits. He made it clear the morrow after the Sabbath of FirstFruits from that day count 7 X 7 forty nine and the morrow after the fiftieth day that will be Shavout or the Feast of Harvest. Yahshua (Jesus) is interested in harvesting souls. All these harvests pointed past an agricultural harvest to the harvest of souls. As the rabbi’s recorded in the Talmud and Josephus said, “this is the conclusion of the Passover.” That which was begun at the shedding of the blood of the Lamb and as we continue on we will see that Yahshua (Jesus) concluded His work on earth at Pentecost - the Greek name meaning fifty.
We have known it as Pentecost, but truly Shavuot is its original name. There were three things that were outlined in Scripture for Shavuot. The Jewish people in Deuteronomy 16:9-12 were instructed to offer a freewill offering, rejoice before Yahveh, and to remember that He had freed them from Egyptian bondage. These are the things we are to remember. We have come here, we have offered a free willed offering, that is a continual giving Him our lives. We have rejoiced before Him and He will remind us more and more how He has freed us and brought us in as a harvest for His name sake and glory. Jew and Gentile “one new man” (Ephesians 2:15).
The prophet Joel understood that in the last days it would not be just a select FEW that would experience the Holy Spirit but that Yahveh in mercy would pour out His Ruach Ha Kodesh (Holy Spirit) upon all flesh. Men and women, sons and daughters, men servants and maid servants, they would be recipients of His Spirit. The prophet Joel said they would become His mouthpieces; they would prophesy. To prophesy is to open your mouth and speak the very words of Almighty God. The very words that bring life and set the captives free. He sent His Holy Spirit so that you can speak by His Spirit the oracles of Yahveh. "To the law and to the testimony if you do not speak according to His words you have no light in you" (Isaiah 8:20). It requires the Ruach Ha Kodesh. Only the Ruach Ha Kodesh- the Spirit of Yahshua (Jesus), is strong enough to overcome the flesh that has its own tendencies, its own words, its own thoughts, its own desires, its own ambitions, its own inclinations. Without that Ruach Ha Kodesh (the Holy Spirit) living and dwelling and overpowering our flesh we can not fulfill the very purpose for which we are here.
Yahshua's Gift to Us
- The Ruach Ha Kodesh -
(This is transcribed from a spoken message)
Yahshua (Jesus) has given us everything. He has given us His blood to cleanse us, He has given us His righteousness that we might go into the presence of Yahveh Almighty, and He has given us His Ruach Ha Kodesh (His Holy Spirit) that He will teach and lead us. The Spirit will convict us of sins and He will speak through us, prophesy through us, and work wonders. Yahshua (Jesus) said that if He did not leave His Counselor, the Comforter, His Ruach, would not come (see John 16:7). When the Spirit would come, we would not only be His ambassadors on this earth but His instruments through which even greater signs and wonders would be done for His Father’s name sake. But first things first.
We do not read of the account of many miracles other than through Yahshua (Jesus), until after the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Ruach Ha Kodesh). Then the accounts come of the disciples walking, moving, breathing, and having their existence in the Spirit. This allowed Yahshua (Jesus) to manifest His glory in signs and wonders, in words of truth that set the captives free, open the blind eyes, to complete the work that Yahshua (Jesus) began on this earth. It is His gift. It is His promise. He said it is His promise to us and to our children. The Ruach (the Spirit) -Ha Kodesh (that separates). He separates us from our flesh, to recognize it and to crucify it. He literally separates us out of this world, out of profane things, out of worthless things unto the holy and the precious. We are to walk in that holiness and preciousness in the might and power of His Spirit.
If we do not have His Spirit we will be mimicking, by our own flesh, that which we understand and comprehend with our finite mind that Yahshua (Jesus) did. On top of that, there is a counterfeit spirit out there working mightily, as the Savior warned, to manifest signs and wonders as Pharaoh’s magicians did. (see Matthew 24:24) If we do not have the Spirit, we either have the flesh mimicking Yahshua (Jesus) or we have the Enemy’s power bringing forth signs and wonders. Most important of all if we ask our Savior for that gift of the Ruach Ha Kodesh (Holy Spirit) He gives it, so that He can fulfill that purpose of His life manifesting through us on this earth that others will see Him, hear Him, observe His majesty and His miracles, and be drawn by the reality of His presence out of this doomed world into life eternal. We will see Him manifesting through our crucified lives if we are indeed being crucified to the world and the world to us. (Galatians 6:14) He gives His Holy Spirit to those who obey Him, by denying themselves and picking up their crucifixion stake to follow Him, this is what we have to obey to follow Him. (Acts 5:32, Luke 9:23-25) Then we will have the fulness of His Spirit, because we have crucified the flesh. “For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another,..” (Galatians 5:17)
We are at a time now where many many souls have come in and many many tares have grown up. I looked at my garden at the beginning of summer and a dear friend who does gardening came over and he said, “I can not believe how many weeds have grown up in your garden. He said it is a botanical masterpiece of weeds. Yet, I have a gorgeous garden but it had not been tended to because it was winter. Summertime is the time to get the weeds out for the purity of the harvest to be made ready. Shavuot, the bringing forth of the first fruits of the wheat harvest, that guarantees that the whole summer harvest will be good and will be acceptable, halleluYAH!
One New Man
- Two Loaves | Jew and Gentile -
(This is transcribed from a spoken message)
As in first fruits, in the spring, the omer of barley was to be waved but for the first fruits of the wheat harvest something unusual two loaves of bread equal measurements in each one and each were to have leaven (sin) were to be waved with two spotless male lambs (see Exodus 34:22). The Lamb that had shed His blood once again comes to the light to represent our sin offering. Yahveh was showing His people, through this appointed time, that one day the harvest would consist of two loaves and those two loaves represent the Jew and the Gentile. The two loaves with leaven–that is us. They look exactly the same to Yahshua (Jesus), there is neither Jew or Gentile for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Yahveh. We are all in need of the mercy of the Almighty who is a consuming fire. When we place ourselves (in the Spirit) on His heavenly altar He will purify and cleanse us of the sin (leaven) with the blood of the Lamb. It is through the mercy of Yahveh who has called all men to disobedience that He might display His great mercy upon them all as we read in Romans 11. Two Loaves - HalleluYAH this is us, “one new man” as we read in Ephesians 2. Yahveh sees no difference but He sees the Lamb and He sees the blood of Yahshua (Jesus) the Lamb and the sin is taken away and the mercy of Yahveh is exalted halleluYAH!
The Jews were always taught and told to remember, not to forget, but to teach the Almighty’s truth to their children, to drum it into their heads and their own minds. The Jewish men wore the tallit so that the commandments and the Torah’s regulation would be always upon them and they would remember Yahveh. They were to remember His decrees and walk in them. The tallit has the blue stripes significant of the shekinah (Yahveh’s glorious presence). When you walk in obedience you are under the canopy of the Almighty. The four corners of the tallit, called the sitis, are the Yod Hey Vav Hey that spell His name YHVH-Yahveh. We walk under the protection, “the name of Yahveh is a high tower and the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10). HalleluYAH! A little diversion, but nevertheless important.
Remember, that Yahveh Almighty freed us from bondage to Pharaoh, Satan the Prince of this world. In Ephesians 2:1-2, which is the magnification of this aspect of the two loaves, remember “as for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, [a loaf filled with leaven] in which you use to live when you followed the ways of this world, and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.” The enemy loves our disobedience, he has more of a playground by which to manifest his works. Yahshua (Jesus) loves our obedience because He has more of a conduit of which to pour His life that others might live. Only through the Spirit can we do that. We have to have an obedient heart for the Holy Spirit to truly remain and do His work through us of separating us from our flesh. He gives us the power and grace to continually deny and crucify it so that we can truly come out of the world and be that separate and holy people who are learning to walk and move and have our being in the Spirit, as we grow in our intimate relationship of oneness with Yahshua (Jesus).
All of us lived gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature. All of us; all human nature is the same. A craving is a craving, it means you want something more than Yahveh God. We have all sinned, we are all puffed up, we all have flesh and like the rest, we were "by nature objects of Yahveh’s wrath" (Ephesians 2:3) but because of God’s great love for us, who is rich in mercy, "made us alive in Messiah even when we were dead in transgressions" (Ephesians 2:5). "It is by grace you have been saved" (Ephesians 2:8). As the priests took the loaves and raised them up. YAHshua (Jesus) our High Priest raised us up to cover the leaven through the power of His blood to take us out of this world, out of the domain of darkness, out of the rulership of Satan. As He raised us up and waves these loaves before the Father He essentially says, “Even though they are sinners I died for them, I ever stand before You to make intercession on their behalf as they cry out for forgiveness for the leaven (sin) to be covered by the blood and they become as Apostle Paul said, "an unleavened loaf" (1 Corinthians 5:7). HalleluYAH Yahshua (Jesus) does this day and night on our behalf that we can be waved ultimately as sinless. The Scripture says that this bread could not be put on the altar because nothing with leaven could be placed on Yahveh’s holy altar (See Exodus 23:18). It could not be put there. Through the power of the sanctifying blood we can be put on His altar and be TRANSFORMED into vessels that will be used by His outpoured Spirit for holy and noble purposes. Thank you Yahshua (Jesus)!
“Yahveh God raised us up with Messiah, He seated us with Him in heavenly realms in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace expressed in His kindness to us in Yahshua Messiah” (Ephesians 2:6-7). "For we are Yahveh’s workmanship" (Ephesians 2:10). He takes us, He sees sin in each one of us, and He gives His Holy Spirit to those who are sincerely surrendered and want to obey. He has no favoritism, when He looks at the two loaves being raised up, saying, "Which one of these is Jewish? Which one of these is not Jewish? All have the sin. All need the blood. All need the Messiah and the riches of His glory." “For we are His workmanship created in Messiah Yahshua” WHY? To do good works by our flesh? No it would be nothing but a good work. We are to do “works that Yahveh prepared in advance for us to do” by the power of His Spirit (Ephesians 2:10). As each loaf is waved before Him in the presence of the King, He covers our leaven (sin) with the blood of Yahshua (Jesus), and we become His handiwork created to fulfill His good purpose. All of heaven’s host marvel, and all of Satan’s demons are aghast at what our Savior did.
During this time of Shavuot we are to remember our deliverance from bondage. Therefore "remember you who are Gentiles by birth and called uncircumcised by those who call themselves the circumcision, that done in the body by the hands of men, remember that at that time you were separate from Messiah excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise without hope and without God in the world" (Ephesians 2:11-12) We must remember that, but so few do. Replacement theology, which has permeated the majority of Christian churches and professing believers says, “the Almighty is finished with Israel because they rejected Messiah.” Replacement theology is the most puffed up loaf and it refuses to be waved before the King of Glory, to be humbled and washed. It says, "we have replaced Israel". This is a safeguard to remember. We all must remember what Yahveh has done for us lest the harvest will be more chaff; more weeds that wheat. The humble He lifts up HalleluYAH!–The unleavened loaf.
"Remember [Gentiles] that at that time you were separate excluded, foreigners without hope without Yahveh but now in Messiah you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Messiah" (Ephesians 2:13). This is a cause of great rejoicing for those who were excluded, and this is a call for rejoicing for natural born Jews, for apart from the blood there is no hope for redemption. “For He Himself is our shalom who has made the two one (Ephesians 2:14)” (Jew and Gentile two loaves) and has destroyed the barrier the dividing wall of hostility. His purpose was to create in Himself “one new man” out of the two thus making peace and in this one body to reconcile both of them to Yahveh through the stake by which He put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you the Gentiles who were far away and peace to those who were near [the Jews]. For through Him we both have access to the Father by one spirit” (Ephesians 2:15-18).
We both have access. Lifted up as indistinguishable sinners because our High Priest lifts up both Jew and Gentile alike, pouring out His blood and mercy upon each one of us. Together, Jew and Gentile cleansed in the blood, walking in righteousness by the power and grace of His indwelling Spirit, will display the riches of His glory as a new creation called, “one new man” (Ephesians 2:14-16). Consequently, the Gentiles are no longer foreigners, praise be to Yahveh they are no longer outcasts. We praise You Yahveh for Your mercy! You will have mercy upon whom You will have mercy. The glory goes to You who poured out Your blood, that we, both Jew and Gentle, be cleansed of the leaven in our lives to become a holy batch without leaven! A new batch ONE TOGETHER indistinguishable, neither Jew nor Gentile, both circumcised in heart, both walking in obedience to Yahveh – He has mercy upon us all. He shows no favoritism. It is written, “Consequently the Gentiles are no longer foreigners or aliens but fellow citizens with Yahveh’s people, members of God’s household”, ONE TOGETHER WITH ISRAEL (see Ephesians 2:19). Not instead of, not replacing Israel, but TOGETHER with redeemed Israel!
Who are our God and Savior’s household? Yahshua (Jesus) said, “My brothers, My sisters, My mother are those who do the will of Yahveh My Father” (see Matthew 12:50). That’s Yahveh’s household! Those who do the will of Yahveh, the Holy One of Israel. He told Israel, “you haven’t born fruit so I am going to give it to a people who will.” The fruit for His glory will be borne through the “one new man”, Jew and Gentile. This is a mystery revealed an indistinguishable, blending, uniting, of Jew and Gentile, through the power of the blood that broke down that wall of division. As “one new man”, in the Almighty’s hand, the riches of His mercy, grace, and glory would be made manifest. That TOGETHER we would reflect Him and TOGETHER we would bring Him glory. The wall of hostility Yahshua (Jesus) broke it down and by our love for one another, the world would know that we are His disciples. Praise be to Yahveh God! Love prevails. It is His love that poured out His life to make us one for the riches of His glory! Neither Jew nor Gentile!
But sadly, as has been throughout the centuries, the enemy accomplished a great demonic work to rebuild that wall of hostility. The Gentiles believed that they had replaced Israel and all of Israel’s promises were now theirs and the Jews had no place because of their rejection of Messiah. This is the biggest lie and the saddest thing is that so much of Christianity has believed this lie for so many centuries that multitudes of Jews have been persecuted by multitudes of Christians coming against them in the name of Christianity, calling them Christ Killers and forgetting that the are Messiah’s brethren of whom they have been blessed to become one with in the Spirit. Yahveh watches through the lens of His righteous word and His righteous covenants. His covenant spoken to Abraham stated, “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3) The Holy Spirit brings us under the blessings not under the curses. So any believer who is cursing Israel is being led by Satan’s spirit and not the Holy Spirit and is an enemy to Yahshua (Jesus). We have got to have the Holy Spirit because we will be led by a counterfeit spirit of deception out from under blessings directly to be under curses, because Yahveh will either bless or curse regarding ones attitudes of love or distain and pride for the Jewish people.
Temple of Holy Priests | One New Body
- Holy Temple Built Stone Upon Stone Upon the Chief Cornerstone -
The devil works overtime to erect that wall of division, one way or another, and we must guard our hearts. We must guard it with the love of Yahshua (Jesus). "Consequently you are no longer foreigners or aliens but fellow citizens with Yahveh’s people and members of God’s household built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets with Messiah Yahshua Himself as the chief cornerstone. In whom, the whole building, (we being not only loaves, but living stones Jew and Gentile) jointly fit together" (Ephesians 2:19-22). The Messiah came to fulfill that which His father David began to build, a temple for the name of Yahveh Almighty in which the glory of the Holy One of Israel would dwell (1 Chronicles 28:2), so that both Jew and Gentile could bow before the King of Glory. As living stones, (just like the two loaves), will you yield in His hands? Will you you allow the Master Carpenter to take and fit you together in His body and to fill you with His Spirit? The glory of the latter temple, as Haggai saw, "would be greater" than all the temples of old (Haggai 2:9).This is the time! These are the Temples! We are the stones! He is jointly fitting the remnant, the consecrated stones, those of the household of God who do His will, on the right and holy ancient foundation of Biblical Truth so that this last great temple, made of Jewish and Gentile living stones, will transcend any glory that the prophets ever beheld.
"In Him the whole building is joined together and rises” (Ephesians 2:21). HalleluYAH, He is raising us up! His building is being raised for His desire, His workmanship, and His good purpose to be fulfilled. As we yield, His temple rises! An edifice greater than Herod’s temple, the marvel of the world, and yet every stone Yahshua (Jesus) said would be cast down and it was (See Matthew 24:2). And every stone that is filled and permeated with leaven and error will be demolished. But the true temple, built of the living stones, jointly fit together by Yahshua (Jesus), it is rising as He is building it on the true foundation of the prophet’s words, of the Jewish Apostles and with Yahshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) the holy one of Israel, as the chief cornerstone. That is the temple of Yahveh, the one where the shekinah glory is coming more and more by the breath of His Spirit. The breath of His Ruach Ha Kodesh is being poured out more and more upon each one of us, as we humbly conform as His living stones to be jointly fit together, forming a temple in which His glory will dwell to His praise, honor, and dominion! HalleluYAH! Rising up to the heavenlies for all of heaven’s hosts to rejoice in the workmanship of Yahveh. When the temple of living stones comes down out of heaven, it will be prepared as a bride adorned for her bridegroom! (Revelation 21:2)
The Enemy hates the Almighty’s holy temple and he has built a counterfeit that is built on another foundation. It is not purified stones, it’s stones are filled with sin and deception and have not been in the hand of the Holy One of Israel. They have been in the hand of angels of light, wolves in sheep’s clothing. A counterfeit work on an erroneous foundation, that like the temple of Herod, it will be leveled. It will be leveled. “And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which Yahveh the Holy One lives by His Spirit [Ruach ha Kodesh]" (Ephesians 2:22). A dwelling to be filled by the Enemy? It has got to be filled with something, it cannot be left vacant; it is to be filled with His Ruach Ha Kodesh, His Holy Spirit.
Paul goes on to say in referring to the mystery, “when you read you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Messiah, which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets. This mystery is that through the truth - the good news, the Gentiles are equal heirs”, [this is the mystery - all recipients of the glory of being in His presence, in the riches of His glory. HalleluYAH equal heirs!] Members together of one body” (see Ephesians Chapter 3:4-6). If we are members of one body, we think alike because we have the thoughts of Yahshua (Jesus), and of the precepts and the commandments of Yahveh. Our Savior said, "I did not come to abolish the Law, not one jot or tittle will pass away, but I came to uphold it" (see Matthew 5:17-20). Yahshua (Jesus) sent His Spirit, so His true body could uphold His Law. Jew and Gentile alike, “one new man”, not by our might, not by our power, which the Jews could never do - the flesh is incapable, but by the power of the Ruach Ha Kodesh that He sent and gives to us that we might uphold all righteousness. HalleluYAH! (John 16:7, Ephesians 2:15, Zechariah 4:6)
“Members together in one body and sharers together” (Ephesians 3:6). We share together my brethren, as one new man before Yahveh. Indistinguishable before Him, covered in the blood. A mystery revealed, one new man in the promise of Yahshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus the Messiah). "For this reason I kneel before the Father from whom this whole family in heaven and earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches He strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being" (see Ephesians 3:14-21). You were brought forth Jew and Gentile and Paul prayed that through the power of His Spirit we would be strengthened to fulfill that high call to become a dwelling for the name and glory of Yahveh.
Paul continues, “… so that Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love … “(Ephesians 3:16-17). The love is the mortar that holds the living stones together. Yahshua (Jesus) is not looking at who is the Jew? Who is the Gentile? He is looking to make sure the mortar is holding us together into that one temple that rises up to be filled with His glory. Without that love it will be a crumbly mess and His glory will depart. His love covers a multitude of our sins and the sins of our brethren (1 Peter 4:8). Are there any cracks in the mortar? Do you have a judgmental critical nit picking spirit? Fix it through the power of repentance and the power of the blood. Yahshua (Jesus) is a good temple builder. I pray that you be rooted and established in love, His Spirit is love. If you are filled with His Spirit you have got the power of His love. If you do not have His love you do not have His Spirit.
There are a lot of people out there who have as much knowledge of the Scripture as the Enemy; he knows it backwards and forwards. BUT they don’t have His Spirit and they don’t have His love that jointly fits us together and allows us to be raised up and filled with His glory for His name’s sake. It is written, “I pray that you being rooted and established in love will have power together with all the saints to grasp (this is the foundational message to grasp) how wide, how long, how high, how deep, is the love of Messiah" (Ephesians 3:18). HalleluYAH, be no respecter of persons, our Redeemer poured out His blood for all mankind, to the Jew first and to all Gentiles, that together they would prove what that great glorious mystery is. "And to know this love that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled with all the fullness of Yahveh God" (Ephesians 3:19). This is foundational, there is no temple apart from this truth. There is religion, there is good works, but it is not on the right foundation and the Enemy relishes it because it is his workmanship.
The Almighty’s workmanship will never be defeated. It may not be obvious to many, but the remnant will know the breath, depth, width, and height of His love” that has caused this great mystery to be a reality of being jointly fit together on the correct foundation that we might be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Don’t we want that, all the fullness of Yahveh; individually and corporately as a body? Or do we want to hold onto the stench of our flesh? If you continue to judge and nit pick each other you are going to destroy one another but the love will bind you together." We need Yahshua’s (Jesus’s) love and it is manifested through one another as the mortar that holds us together in Him. "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more [immeasurably more if we are looking in the right direction] than all we ask or imagine, according to His power, that is at work within us, to Him be glory and in the body through Yahshua (Jesus) Messiah throughout all generations" (Ephesians 3:20-21).
A short summary; the day of Shavuot when all of the pilgrims have made their journey to Jerusalem to bring the first fruit of the wheat harvest, remember none of it could be eaten, they could not touch it until it was brought to Yahveh. As they were there, Yahshua’s little first fruit disciples had grown to 120 and they were meeting together in an upper room and a loud rushing wind and tongues of fire came upon them. While the Jewish pilgrims were in the temple there was a commotion, they heard that noise and they saw something that must have reminded them of Mt. Sinai when the Almighty came down and descended on it in fire. So He came! His Ruach HaKodesh came in fire! Apostle Paul quoted Jeremiah saying that Yahveh would have a new covenant and it would not be written on stone tablets but it would be written on our hearts and in our minds (see Jeremiah 31:33). When that fire of His presence came, this time it was to engrave it on our hearts. The Spirit came and not only did He engrave it on our hearts but he gave us the power to obey and uphold His commandments and to receive His promised covenant blessings to all who walk in obedience to His Word and commandments.
HalleluYAH for the sound of the rushing wind and the flames of fire, the Spirit came, and wimpy cowardly Peter preached like a PHD Theology major and 3,000 Jews were saved that day. Their hearts were pierced saying what do we do to be saved? And he was quoting Joel, “He who calls on the name of Yahveh shall be saved” (Joel 2:32). Receive the Ruach HaKodesh!
The Depths of Truth
- The Heights of the Spirit -
The Holy Spirit, Ruach HaKodesh in Hebrew, separates us from all sin, defilement, flesh, and worldliness, to be holy to our Almighty God and Savior. He is the Spirit of truth guiding us into the depths of truth and the heights of His Spirit. In order to ascend the heights, it is imperative that we must go deeper into biblical truth. Over the centuries, since the first outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Shavuot, there has been a developing spiritual chasm that is inhabited by so many lukewarm, self seeking believers, who are preoccupied with this perishing world as they embrace certain doctrines and traditions of men that have replaced biblical truth. This chasm is the dangerous place that Yahshua (Jesus) spoke of saying, “the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it” (Matthew 7:13-14). There is an urgent desperate need of a fresh outpouring, infilling, and immersion in the Spirit of truth at an hour where Satan’s deception and lies, through man, are ruling and reigning in the hearts and minds of many professing believers. Yahveh says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” of uncompromised biblical truth (Hosea 4:6). During this commemoration of the original outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the Feast of Pentecost (Acts 2), the Messiah is “standing at the door of our hearts knocking” (Revelation 3:20). He is longing to come in and transform our lives to become what He redeemed us to be. Yahshua (Jesus) purchased us with His own blood to become a spirit filled, surrendered, holy people, who love and “worship their God and Messiah in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).
Through the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost), the Holy Spirit, our “Helper”, is magnifying pure biblical instructions that have been obscured, buried, and replaced with the doctrines, traditions, and transliterations of man over the centuries (John 14:26). “All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness…” (2 Timothy 3:16). Sadly, multitudes of “professing believers” are half hearted, double minded, and preoccupied with daily life in this passing world. So many passively learn about our God and Savior, primarily from the words of other people, pulpits, preachers, teachers, friends, and family rather than directly from our divinely sent “Helper, the Holy Spirit” (John 14:26). The Holy Spirit is urging us to “find out what pleases God” and do it (Ephesians 5:10). The Scripture states, “When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth” “and you have no need for anyone to teach you” (John 16:13, 1 John 2:27). Therefore, “be diligent to present yourself approved to God as [one] who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
Apostle Paul, with many tears, warned that after his and the other disciples departure, that spiritual imposters, “savage wolves were going to come in and distort the truth” leading many away from Biblical purity (Acts 20:29). The hour is late, time is short, it’s midnight, we are moving rapidly toward the completion of all biblical prophesy, pointing to the end of the age and our Savior’s return. As many prophetic Scriptures foretold, “truth has been thrown to the ground”, distorted with lies and deceptions that have continued to replace sound biblical doctrine (Daniel 8:12, Isaiah 59:14). This insidious strategy is the progressive work of “the ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan” (Revelation 12:9, 20:2). He and his demonic cohorts, working through human agents, have continued over the centuries on their successful quest to “turn people, nations, and many denominations within Christianity upside down”, calling “evil good, and good evil; by putting darkness for light, and light for darkness” (Isaiah 29:16). Tradition has replaced truth and religion has replaced righteousness! Sadly, most prefer their traditions and religion over truth and righteousness, this is why the Messiah specifically addressed the religious leaders and all His brethren who were adhering to man made doctrines and traditions. He emphatically rebuked them then, and now, saying, “You hypocrites! … you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition … 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me … in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men’ ” (Matthew 15:3,8-9).
The Light & Salt Restrain Darkness
Over the centuries, there has continued to be an increasing lack of interest and understanding of the God and Savior of the Bible, who is the God of Israel and the Jewish Messiah. Equally, there is a lack of an awareness that there is an arch enemy Satan who not only exists but continually “deceives the whole world” (Revelation 12:9). Our Savior warned, “if possible, even the elect (redeemed)” will be deceived (Matthew 24:24). Yahshua (Jesus) stated that those who are filled with the Holy Spirit and obey Him would be “the light of the world” and “the salt” that helps to purify and hold back the evil on this earth (Matthew 5:13-16). However, because of the many man made doctrines and traditions that have replaced the truth, and the consequential prophesied great “apostasy [falling away]” that has developed, “the light” of Yahshua (Jesus) through many“professing believers” is darkness (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3). The “salt has also lost its saltiness” and has not had the Holy Spirit’s power to pierce the darkness and restrain the progression of evil (Matthew 5:13). This is why our Savior said, “Be careful, therefore, that the light that is in you is not darkness” (Luke 11:35)
Satan, who Yahshua said was, "the ruler of this world”, is winning the battle for the minds, hearts, and souls of multitudes of those who call Him “Lord and Savior” (John 12:31). The Messiah made it clear several times in His ministry that there would be many who were deceived by a religious counterfeit, they would be “professing believers” but they would not bear the fruit of righteousness that glorifies our God and Savior by the Spirit of truth. Yahshua (Jesus) continued stating, ”Every tree that does not bear good (holy) fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire” (Matthew 7:19) "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS (not upholding His Father’s biblical commandments and perfect will) (Matthew 7:21-23). To the “lukewarm, superficial, double minded, worldly believers, Yahshua (Jesus) says, “I am going to spew you out of my mouth” (see Revelation 3:16). He was very consistent in warning that there would be many in the last days who would be “lovers of self, lovers of money … lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness [religion] although they have denied its power” the power of the Holy Spirit ruling over their lives (2 Timothy 2:4-5). Paul’s words regarding an empty form of religion, highlight the reality that so many would fill the congregations, professing Him as Lord and Savior, yet, because of their continued self centered worldly lifestyles their worship would be in vain because it was devoid of the Holy Spirit’s presence.
The religious system is Satan’s most highly sought and implemented means by which to change everything on the earth for his dark and evil purposes. The Enemy knows if he can get the salt and the light under his control then the light becomes darkness and the salt becomes useless. Consequently, without the Holy Spirit’s indwelling power to hold back the tidal wave of Satan’s influence, the devil and his demonic entities have full reign, leading to his ultimate reign at the end of the age as the anti messiah (antichrist). Anti messiah (antichrist) means in place of, or instead of, the true Messiah Yahshua (Jesus). The bright light of truth has long ago been overshadowed by Satan’s darkness and pervasive lies, as “he is the father of lies” (John 8:44). Yahshua, ‘the bright morning star’ and “the light of revelation to the Gentiles”, has been eclipsed by Satan’s distorted doctrines and traditions and “replacement theologies” (Revelation 22:16, Luke 2:32). At the end of the age, the light of truth is being magnified by Yahshua (Jesus), who is “the light of the world” (John 9:5). Through His Word, He is showing us the reality of the blighted harvest field with the fruitless weeds and the dry shriveled fruit that is a grief to the Creator and a repulsion to multitudes who see it because it is not a work of His Holy Spirit. It is a work of Satan, “the god of this world”, and his many demonic agents working through vulnerable deceived people who have embraced doctrines and traditions that are man-made, which deny and defy the infallible Word of God (2 Corinthians 4:4).
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit in these last days, the very Spirit of truth, is shining brightly on the harvest field. The Spirit is pouring out a greater “light of revelation to the Gentiles” (Luke 2:32). So that they are able to distinguish the seeds of truth Yahshua (Jesus) planted from the fruitless tares that Satan planted in His harvest field. The Savior said that the seeds of truth and the seeds of doctrinal lies would grow simultaneously indistinguishable and undetected until the end of the age, which we are in (Matthew 13:24-30). With this merciful fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, He is opening up our blind eyes to see and discern the tares sown by Satan’s deception, especially through anti Semitic doctrines and traditions. Yahshua (Jesus) says, “I am the way and the truth and the life” anything other than pure truth and pure light is another way, called the “broad path that leads to destruction” (John 14:6, Matthew 7:13). Satan has deceived many to walk on this “broad path” because they did not know, love, and obey uncompromised biblical truth and walk in it’s light. They produced the tares that are going to be burned rather than the holy fruit that will last forever. “The ax is laid at the base of every tree that does not produce holy fruit”- fruit that is produced by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:10).
Let us listen, hear, and obey what the Holy Spirit is saying, “Put on the new self, which in the likeness of Yahveh God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. … therefore laying aside falsehood, ... walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Master. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them … Therefore be careful how you walk, … because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is” as expressed in the full counsel of uncompromised biblical truth (Ephesians 4:24, 25, 5:8-11, 15-17).
"Salvation is From the Jews"
- John 4:22 -
The Savior of the world came first to His own beloved brethren, the children of Israel. He was the Jew of all Jews and walked in absolute obedience to the Law of Moses. Yahshua Messiah was extremely and distinctly Jewish in appearance and obeyed the complete Torah and Tenach, the Old Testament. He had a Hebrew name, spoke the Hebrew language, and ministered only to His Jewish brethren with the exception of very few Gentiles who loved and honored the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob-(Israel). In the book of Matthew, we read of Yahshua’s commission to His Jewish disciples, “These twelve He sent out after instructing them, saying, “Go nowhere among the Gentiles … but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matthew 10:1, 5-6).
Yahshua faithfully upheld and reinforced the covenant that His Father made with Abraham, the irrevocable covenant that promises blessings or curses to every Gentile and nation based on these words, “I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). The very few Gentiles to whom our Savior personally ministered, were specific examples of foreigners who had a praise worthy reverence and love for the Jewish people and the God of Israel. Luke, most probably a Gentile convert to Judaism, gives the account of the centurion, one of the Gentiles who received directly from the Messiah of Israel, “And when he [the centurion] heard about Yahshua, (Jesus) he sent some Jewish elders asking Him to come and save the life of his slave. And when they had come to Yahshua, they earnestly entreated Him, saying, “He is worthy for You to grant this to him; for he loves our [Jewish] nation, and it was he who built us our synagogue.” Now Yahshua started on His way with them; … (Luke 7:3-6)
Matthew gives the account of a Canaanite woman who humbly acknowledged her alien position. She came to Messiah, … and began to cry out, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord [Master], Son of David; …”He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” But she came and began to bow down before Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” And He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s [Jew’s] bread and throw it to the dogs [Gentiles].” But she said, “Yes, Lord; but even the dogs feed on the crumbs which fall from their master’s table” (Matthew 15:22-27). This Gentile outcast received from Yahshua (Jesus) the crumbs that had the same divine power as the full loaf given first to the children of Israel. Cornelius and his family were the first Gentiles to receive salvation. He was “a righteous and God-fearing man well spoken of by the entire nation of the Jews, …” (Acts 10:22). This Gentile reverenced the God of Israel, honored and obeyed His laws, and blessed so many Jews that he was the recipient of the Abrahamic covenant’s ultimate promised blessing—“YAH’s salvation,” YAHshua. Although Messiah had ordered His disciples not to go to the Gentiles or Samaritans, He made exceptions, such as exhorting the Samaritan woman at the well with these important words:“You worship that which you do not know; we worship that which we know; For Salvation is from the Jews.” (Matthew 10:5-6, John 4:22)
One New Man - A Mystery Revealed
- Ephesians 3:3-5 -
Shavuot (Pentecost) was the blessed biblical feast marking the turning point when Messiah’s love, mercy, and salvation, through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, was now to include all Gentiles who would come, through faith in the Jewish Messiah, and become “born again” members of the redeemed messianic kingdom (John 3:3). When Yahshua (Jesus) ministered on earth, He made an important statement to a Samaritan Gentile, “But a time is coming, and even now has arrived, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers” (John 4:23). Our Savior was pointing to the reality that the day was coming after His ascension when “the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father would send in [His] name” would be poured out upon His redeemed Jewish brethren (John 14:26, 16:13). By the power of the Spirit, the gospel message of the Kingdom of Heaven and the need to be true worshippers would now go forth through the redeemed Jews commissioned and sent to include the Gentile foreigners (Acts 2:1-4, 10:44-48, 11:15).
The Holy One of Israel sent His Son as the Messiah to the Jews first, to manifest His name, glory, and salvation. Through this remnant of redeemed Jews who believed, salvation spread to multitudes of Gentiles. The Great Apostle Paul (originally Shaul) proclaimed, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel [Good News of the Kingdom of Heaven], for it is the power of God for salvation to every one who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). Going in Almighty God’s divine order of salvation “to the Jew first” requires and releases the fullest measure of truth embodying the biblically pure holy “Hebrew root” and its “nourishing sap” (Romans 11:17). When we have the full power and light of Yahshua (Jesus) in the magnitude of His Jewish identity and heartbeat, then the Gentiles will know the Messiah in the fullness of who He is. Only then can a righteous remnant fully mature and bear His identity by the power of His indwelling Holy Spirit- Ruach Ha Kodesh. As Apostle Paul said, “because of the grace given to me by God, that I might be a minister of Yahshua Messiah [Jesus Christ] to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of Yahveh God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:15-16).
Through the sacrificial cleansing blood of our Savior, and the power of His indwelling “Holy Spirit of truth”, a “new creation” of individual “born again” Jewish and Gentile faithful believers would become united as “one new man” (John 16:13, 2 Corinthians 5:17, John 3:3, Ephesians 2:14-16). This supernatural spiritual “new creation”, is called “the body of Messiah”. It was a mystery unknown until Yahshua (Jesus) sacrificed His divine life blood, “breaking down the wall of division, between God’s chosen people the Jews and the Gentile foreigners (Ephesians 2:14). The Mighty One of Israel was proclaiming His mercy and grace to make a way for the Gentiles, “who were far away” from His covenant promises and eternal blessings, HalleluYAH! (Ephesians 2:13). The outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) on that momentous day of Shavuot (Pentecost), was the beginning of Jew and Gentile becoming “one new man” composing Messiah’s redeemed spiritual body, built on the Hebraic biblical “foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Messiah Yahshua [Christ Jesus] himself as the chief cornerstone” (Ephesians 2:15, 20). Together, they were “called and chosen” to individually and corporately worship His Father, the Holy One of Israel, in Spirit and in truth (Revelation 17:14, John 4:24). Jew and Gentile “one new man” through the blood of the Lamb, to the glory of the Holy One of Israel, blessed be His name forever and ever!!!
Yahshua (Jesus) is “the head” and ruler over His spiritual body, the “one new man” (Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 2:14). Each redeemed member is eternally vital for the will of our holy God and Savior to be accomplished “here on earth as it is in heaven” for the advancement of His righteous kingdom (Matthew 6:10). Through the Holy Spirit, by divine design, the message of “the kingdom of heaven” was spread abroad through His redeemed Jewish brethren to the Gentiles. The Messiah instructed His Jewish disciples saying, "this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached [by the power of the Holy Spirit] in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations [Gentiles] …” (Matthew 24:14). Apostle Paul reminds the brethren,‘"For so the Lord Yahshua has commanded us, 'I HAVE PLACED YOU AS A LIGHT FOR THE GENTILES, THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH’" (Acts 13:47). This is why Paul wrote:“Therefore I will give praise to Thee among the Gentiles, And I will sing to Thy name.” And again he says, “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people [Israel].” And again, “Praise Yahveh all you Gentiles, And let all the peoples praise Him” (Romans 15:8-11).
Paul, The Apostle to the Gentiles
- Ephesians 3:8 -
The Jewish Apostle Paul (originally named Shaul), was a scholar of the Holy Scriptures. From his youth he had studied and memorized the Torah and Tenach, the complete Old Testament! He knew and loved the Holy One of Israel and sought to obey all of His commandments and statutes. Yahshua (Jesus) commissioned and sent Paul, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to minister to the first Gentiles who were coming to faith in the Jewish Messiah (Acts 9:15). This marked the new era of the gospel message of Yahshua and the kingdom of heaven now going also to the Gentiles who “are fellow heirs [with the Jews] and fellow members of the body [of the Jewish Messiah], and fellow partakers of the promise in Messiah Yahshua through the gospel” (Ephesians 3:6). Paul was mightily equipped and anointed by the Holy Spirit to teach the Gentiles about the God of Israel and His Son the Savior, YAHshua. Yahshua’s name literally means-“YAHveh - is salvation”.
The Apostle Paul was mercifully given a loving fatherly heart to disciple the Gentiles as expressed by these words, “that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:16). Paul was beseeching the Gentile believers saying, “Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship” (Romans 12:1). Paul poured out his life on the altar of service and sacrifice, that the Gentiles would become an acceptable holy people who would glorify the Holy One of Israel through faith in the Messiah and the power of His Holy Spirit. His challenging commission was that the Gentiles, as children, would grow up and mature as the holy bride of the eternal Bridegroom Yahshua (Jesus). Most importantly, Paul was warning the Gentiles who were coming to faith in the Jewish Messiah, “you come from not knowing the Holy One of Israel and how easy it will be for you to be deceived and disqualified for the kingdom”, “For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Messiah [no longer defiled by the flesh and the world]. But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his trickery, your minds will be led astray from sincere and pure devotion to Messiah” (2 Corinthians 11:2-3). Although Paul was selfless and obedient to his ministry to the Gentiles, he never neglected going into the synagogues, always hoping to lead more of His beloved brethren, the lost sheep of the house of Israel, to their long awaited Messiah. Paul was even willing to give up his salvation for some of His Jewish brethren to be saved. It is written, “For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Messiah [Christ] for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh, who are Israelites”. The apostle also said, “… I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Therefore insofar as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify my ministry if somehow I might move to jealousy my fellow countrymen [the Jews] and save some of them” (Romans 9:3, 11:13).
Paul, in his wisdom and desire to protect the young Gentile believers, continually warned of Satan’s strategies of deception that could easily lure them back into captivity to their former way of life (Acts 13:9). The apostle understood the special vulnerability for the newly “born again” Gentile followers of Yahshua (Jesus) (Romans 11:13, Ephesians 3:1, John 3:3). Paul referred to them as “wild, not cultivated olive tree branches” (Romans 11:17). He knew how susceptible they were because of their former life as foreigners to the God of Israel, not having a biblical foundation or understanding of His Word. Paul said, “I don’t want you to be unaware of Satan’s schemes, lest he have an advantage over you” (see 2 Corinthians 2:11). He was acutely aware of the Enemy’s strategies and how easy it would be to deceive the Gentiles who formerly worshipped false gods and embraced idolatrous traditions. He sorrowfully proclaimed to his Gentile brethren in the true faith, specifying that “seducing spirits” ,“doctrines of demons”, and “another Yahshua (Jesus), a different spirit, and a different gospel” would ensnare many of the Gentile believers to “fall away and apostatize” from obedience to uncompromised biblical truth (1 Timothy 4:1, see 2 Corinthians 11:4, 2 Thessalonians 1-3).
In the Messiah's merciful love, Paul exhorted and continually warned his beloved Gentile brethren to be on guard against deception and pride which would be rebellion against the Holy One and His Jewish people. He profoundly exclaimed, “Remember, you Gentiles … remember you were at that time separate from Messiah [Christ], excluded from the people of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:11-12). Paul strongly cautioned, “Do not be arrogant toward the [original Jewish] branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.” You will say then, “Branches [some unbelieving Jews] were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; for if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either” (Romans 11:18-21). This is why in essence Paul was always exhorting the Gentiles, “you must continue in humility, not only were you foreigners but you must remember that “the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God”, which are the Holy Scriptures (Romans 3:2). If it wasn’t for the Jewish people there would be no oracles. It was through their lineage that Messiah was born. They were “the chosen people” to know the God of Israel, to record His Scriptures, and to “be His witnesses” so the Gentiles could learn about the God of Israel (Deuteronomy 7:6-8, Isaiah 43:10). Paul knew that if they forgot their humble origins as Gentile foreigners that they were in danger, as “wild olive tree branches", of being cut off and thrown into the fire because of their pride and anti-Semitic attitude towards Messiah’s brethren (Romans 11:17,21).
“Therefore I,… implore you [Gentiles] to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit [Jew and Gentile one new man] in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling…” (Ephesians 4:1-4) Paul was their “father through the gospel”, who wholeheartedly warned his Gentile spiritual sons and daughters that a massive deception of Satan was going to come (1 Corinthians 4:15). He explained to them, “Satan masquerades as an angel of light and it is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants [preachers and teachers] of righteousness” to deceive many (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). Apostle Paul continued warning for “three years with tears” saying, "I know that after my departure savage wolves [dressed in sheep’s clothing] will come in among you, not sparing the flock; Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them”. He protectively cautioned them saying, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; … they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own [self pleasing worldly] desires.” Yahveh says, “My people will love it this way but what will you do at the end” when “judgment begins at the household of God?” (Jeremiah 5:31, 1 Peter 4:17)
Replacement Theology, Satan’s Deception
The apostle Paul saw the threatening forthcoming strategies of “replacement theology”. As a Jewish man from the tribe of Benjamin, he was well aware of Satan’s anti-Semitism (hatred of Jews) throughout the ages and understood how it was going to enter the hearts of Gentile believers within the body of Messiah by bringing in doctrines, traditions, attitudes, and translations that would be infused with the poison of anti-Semitism. Ultimately, this would lead to what is called replacement theology. Sadly, multitudes of Christian Gentile believers have embraced this evil lie, which erroneously believes that God rejected the Jews and that the Gentiles had replaced them as the recipients of Israel’s promises and blessings. In arrogance they say, ”We have replaced Israel in God’s heart and plan and their promises are for us.” Replacement Theology completely undermines what Yahshua (Jesus) sent His Spirit to accomplish within His true body of believers, which embraces both the believing Jews and Gentiles.
We are in the most critical time on the face of the earth we have enetered “the time such as never was and will never be again” (see Matthew 24:21), it is called “the tribulation” and “the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7). Even now, as tumultuous wars have broken out in the Middle East against Israel, anti-Semitic propaganda is increasing daily, stirring up worldwide hatred for Israel and the Jewish people. The Bible foretells that Satan is going to spread His hatred towards the God of Israel and His chosen people, the Jews, to such a point in these last days that all the nations of the earth would turn against Israel, both people and land. “It will come about on that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will injure themselves severely. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it” (Zechariah 12:3). The biblical knowledge of God’s plan for the Jews and Gentiles to come together as “one new man” (Ephesians 2:14-18) has been ignored by many preachers, teachers, and believers who harbor anti-Semitism and replacement theology in their hearts, instead of humble gratitude and love for the Jewish people. All those who truly love and obey the Jewish Messiah must guard their hearts from any anti-Semitic attitudes towards His very own brethren for whom He came first and foremost. “How odd of God to choose the Jew, but not so odd as those who choose the Jewish God and hate the Jew.”
“For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the hostility, … so that in Himself He might make the two [Jew and Gentile] one new man, in this way establishing peace; and that He might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the hostility. And He came and preached peace to you who were far away [the Gentiles], and peace to those who were near [the Jews]; for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father” (Ephesians 2:14-18)
“I WILL BLESS THOSE WHO BLESS YOU, AND THE ONE WHO CURSES YOU I WILL CURSE. AND IN YOU ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH WILL BE BLESSED” (GENESIS 12:3). “Satan comes to rob, kill, and destroy” (John 10:10), he will harm Yahveh’s Jewish people and Yahveh’s redeemed Gentiles in one fell blow. In the same way, Gentile believers who are anti-Semitic and embrace replacement theology, are harming their Jewish brethren and bringing the sovereign Abrahamic covenant curses upon themselves! They are being robbed of the promised blessing upon the faithful seed of Abraham, the forefather of all who believe, whether Jew or Gentile. We who believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, must uphold, love, and worship Yahshua (Jesus), the King of the Jews, and Lion of the Tribe of Judah, “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24) through His blessings upon His people, Israel, and prayers for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122). We must remember to be careful never to side with the enemies of the God and Messiah of the Bible.
The Holy Spirit will not dwell in lives that embrace Satan’s theologies, lies, and pernicious poisons of anti-Semitism. The prevalent mentality of replacement theology throughout much of Christian history to this day is exactly what Apostle Paul warned against. Paul exclaimed to the Gentile believers, “God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! [God forbid!]” (Romans 11:1) "For I do not want you, brothers and sisters, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in …” (Romans 11:25). It is becoming obvious to many that we are at the end of the age, but what is not so obvious, and equally biblical, is that we are at the end of the age of the Gentiles as was prophetically proclaimed to occur in the last days.
Satan’s anti-Semitic venom has opened the door for many pagan-rooted doctrines and traditions to replace the holy root of pure biblical truth. These doctrines and traditions have been passed on as a spiritual inheritance from century to century within the church system. There is always a righteous diligent remnant who search the Scriptures to truly learn the Word and will of the God of Israel and the Messiah. They have maintained the cause of pure doctrinal truth and righteousness, but sadly, that is only a remnant. Yahshua (Jesus) said there are only a few who find the narrow path but the many go through the broad path of accepting what has been handed down and what seems right (Matthew 7:13-14). “There is a way which seems right to a person, but its end is the way of death” (Proverbs 14:12). The Savior spoke to the religious leaders of His day, words that should speak loudly to us at the end of the age, words to all those who embrace replacement theology, including doctrines and traditions of men that have replaced uncompromised biblical truth. Messiah said, ’This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far away from Me. ‘But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men’” (Matthew 15:8-9).
Hear the heart of the Almighty, “They have not listened to and honored My words,’ says Yahveh” (Jeremiah 29:19). “In the last days you will clearly understand it. I did not send these prophets [or preachers] … I did not speak to them, but they prophesied. But if they had stood in My council, then they would have announced My words to My people, And would have turned them back from their evil way And from the evil of their deeds …You will no longer remember the oracle of Yahveh [the Lord], because every man's own word will become the oracle, and you have perverted the words of the living God, Yahveh of hosts, our God” (Jeremiah 23:20-22, 36). Jeremiah the prophet was shown the reality of so much falsehood [anti-Semitic doctrines, traditions, and attitudes of heart and mind] replacing pure biblical truth in the last days, listen to his words! “Yahveh God, … To You the nations [Gentiles] will come from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood, futility, and things of no benefit … Therefore I will teach them— this time I will teach them my power and might. Then they will know that my name is Yahveh [the God of Israel].” (Jeremiah 16:19, 21).
The prophet Zechariah referred to this when he said, ’In those days ten people [Gentiles] from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you”’ (Zechariah 8:23). The prophet Isaiah wrote, “And they will say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahveh, To the house of the God of Jacob; So that He may teach us about His ways, And that we may walk in His paths …” (Isaiah 2:3).
“Yahveh is a jealous God” and the Holy Spirit dwelling within the redeem is jealous for us (Exodus 34:14, James 4:5). The Jewish Messiah shed His blood to purchase both Jews and Gentiles to be betrothed to Him as a righteous “bride” who is obedient to the Word and will of His Father, the Holy One of Israel (John 3:29, 2 Corinthians 11:2). There is an outpouring of the Spirit of truth at the end of the age, urging us not to be unaware of the strategies of Satan that have successfully diluted, polluted, and replaced pure truth with replacement theologies, and doctrines and traditions of men. The true believers, as a bride, are to stand as one, clinging to their beloved Jewish Bridegroom and Messiah. At the end of the Scripture we hear it is the Spirit and the Bride saying, “Come” (Revelation 22:17).
The bride and the Bridegroom must be one, in order to fulfill the purpose for which the blood of Yahshua (Jesus), was poured out. He does not want a bride clothed in “foreign [Gentile worldly] garments” (Zephaniah 1:8). Yahshua (Jesus) shed His blood to cleanse every believer of our carnal fleshy inherited sin nature, so that we could be “born again” through faith in Him and His cleansing blood, “clothed in His righteousness”, filled with His Holy Spirit, who will teach us to grow up and bear the identity of our Messiah (John 3:3, Isaiah 61:10). We are to be His bride who is of one heart, one mind, and one Spirit, with our Jewish Messiah. As His redeemed bride, we must never side with the Enemy, but always lay down our lives, denying the flesh, worldliness, Satan and all his anti-Semitic strategies. We must remain one with our beloved Yahshua (Jesus) at any cost, as we prepare for that great wedding with our Bridegroom Redeemer in His Messianic Kingdom to come (Revelation 19:6-9).
A Prayer for Israel
There is a special outpouring of the Spirit promised in Genesis 12:3 to bless those who bless the Jews. This is a time to receive a great outpouring of blessings and power in the Spirit, as we join with the heart of the Holy One of Israel to pray for His people. The Almighty Creator and God made an irrevocable covenant with Abraham and his descendants, the Jewish people, that promises blessings or curses to every Gentile and nation based on these words, “I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). The sovereign covenant is as sure as the law of gravity it cannot be broken.
We are at the very end of the age and Bible prophecy regarding Israel is and will continue to dramatically unfold before us. The Gentile believers have an incumbent responsibility as Apostle Paul spoke to them, because of the mercy shown to them to graft them as wild olive branches into the holy root to share with redeemed Israel her eternal blessings, Paul says , “You are to have mercy, you are not to be conceited, you are not to think that you are superior to the Jews or the nation of Israel, but that is the holy root of your Savior. You are one with Him and one with His people.
At this critical time, when time is rolling up like a scroll, it is now time for the engrafted Gentile branches to rise up in that reciprocal mercy that allowed them to be one with Israel, Yahveh’s chosen people, to start praying for Israel. Satan, working through various people and nations and political maneuvers will ultimately turn every nation of the world against Israel. Yahveh is watching the hearts of the ones who call Him Lord and Savior. He is the Holy One of Israel, the Gentiles have been grafted in to become one with redeemed Israel, not to replace Israel in God’s heart but to be one with Israel. It is time to start being an advocate for everything that concerns His heart towards His Jewish people. Anti Semitism manifests in subtle ways such as antagonism, hostility, or negative attitudes towards the nation of Israel in her plight. If you harbor any of these mindsets then you are becoming an enemy to the very God and Messiah of Israel. Examine your heart, the Holy Spirit wants to convict us of this gross sin lest we fall under the curses rather than the blessings of the sovereign Abrahamic Covenant. (Genesis 12:3) Consequently, you will find yourself on Satan’s side collaborating in your sentiments and prayers as an enemy rather than a holy, humble, grateful child of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and His Son the Jewish Messiah.
Choose you this day who you are going to pray for. You have got to understand who you are as Gentile believers and the mercy, grace, and love of the Holy One of Israel, to include you and no longer exclude you, so that you would not be an enemy to Him and His people but become one with Him and His people and all their eternal promised blessings for those who come to faith in their Messiah. This is Yahveh’s heart for His children who were originally Gentiles, now saved through the grace, mercy, and love of the Jewish Messiah, “Remember your roots and where you come from, who you belong to, who you worship, and know what He says regarding His people Israel, so that your heart is not beating to the tune of the Enemy instead of the very God and Messiah who you profess to know and love.
The Almighty is watching, He is judging, and He will thresh and winnow out anyone who is an enemy to His cause, plan, purpose, and love for His Jewish nation and people. Take warning, take heed, the Enemy is trying to bring you into deception to join forces with him rather than to join forces with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and Yahshua (who came first and foremost to His Jewish people). It is time to rise up and do your part to love and mercifully pray for the Jewish nation, and pray for the salvation of the remnant of Israel.

- Redefining the Feasts of Israel Through the Ten Commandments -
Want to learn even more about Yahveh's holy Ten Commandment? Check out Terrye G. Seedman's book "Redefining the Feasts of Israel Through the Ten Commandments." The Holy Days pivot around the Ten Commandments, these were appointed times to meet with Him that would help them to walk by His spirit’s leading in these Commandments. Indeed, there would be no feasts if it was not for the Ten Commandments and the penalty of sin for not upholding them and there would be no need of Messiah. The Ten Commandments point us to Him and YAHshua the schoolmaster points us to the truth so we can walk in a way worthy of everything that He has taught us to be. “Not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” (2 Corinthians 3:6) This book unlocks truths from Yahveh's divine Ten Commandments to redefine the true meaning and fulfillment of the holy Feasts of Israel. Simply, the divinely appointed times, the feast days, pivot around the blood on the altar of sacrifice—on the mercy seat, for the forgiveness of sin and sin points us back to the Commandments. Therefore every feast is exalting the Commandments of YAHveh, exalting our Lamb who came and died because we can’t uphold the Commandments without His help. They are inextricably linked. You can’t separate the feasts from the Commandments and you cannot separate the Lamb of God who is the ultimate fulfillment of the holy temple, priesthood, and the sacrificial system’s substitutionary sacrifice for our sin nature. Learn all of this and more in this powerful book about Yahveh's divine commandments and holy feasts.
