Overview
YAHveh has a remnant He has called out through the power of the blood that was shed on behalf of the people who would hearken to His cry to be holy because He is holy. The remnant has been called out to be brought into the eternal Promised Land. But the pilgrimage is a wilderness experience, and He is weeding out those who will defame His glory; those who will not keep their hearts wholeheartedly set and satisfied in His provisions. YAHveh did not bring Israel into the Promised Land until the remnant was purified and those who rebelled had died in the wilderness—because YAHveh cannot dwell in the midst of a rebellious people. When YAHveh calls us to obedience, we can argue with Him, we can twist and turn it a little like Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden, but we reap destruction. We do not reap the benefit of YAHveh’s promised blessings when we disobey Him. It is very important to listen, to pay close attention to what YAHveh is saying—and do it His way, not ours. We read in 1 Corinthians 10:11 all that happened to Israel—their grumbling, lust, murmuring, complaining, and destructions—are for us to learn from: “Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.” We are to learn from their example and not do the same thing. This should put the fear of YAHveh in all of us, causing us to know that apart from YAHveh it is impossible for us to subdue our flesh and walk in wholehearted obedience. indeed, now is the time to be holy as YAHveh is holy. Let this devotional help you on this holy, separate pilgrimage as YAHveh is calling you out of the darkness and into His wonderful, redemptive light.
