Recognize and Flee Deception
“It is important to note that Yahshua [Jesus] through all His prophets and disciples magnified and warned His people of deception”
There is a great urgency “to redeem the time for the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:16) In mercy, our Savior is giving us added light of truth and revelation in order for us to recognize and flee from any form of deception. Apostle Paul cautioned the brethren, “We are not [to be] ignorant of Satan’s schemes,” so that we are not deceived and the Enemy have victory over us. (2 Corinthians 2:11) It is important to note that Yahshua [Jesus], through all His prophets and disciples, magnified and warned His people of deception. In the Old Testament there are approximately 170 references regarding deception and in the New Testament it is referenced 40 times. Our loving Heavenly Father and Savior is wanting us to “be as wise as serpents and as gentle as doves.” (Matthew 10:16) Yahveh [the Lord] says, “My people perish for a lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) We must intimately know our God and Savior through His Word and also be aware of our Enemy’s cunning tactics lest we fall prey to his deceptive strategies and their deadly consequences.
“Behold, I have told you in advance”
The disciples asked Yahshua [Jesus], “What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” … And Yahshua answered and said to them, “See to it that no one deceives you. … “For many will come in My name … and will deceive many” … “Many false prophets [preachers and teachers] will arise and will deceive many … because wickedness and lawlessness [rejecting and breaking the Ten Commandments] is increased, most peoples love [for the truth] will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved … For false Messiahs [Christs] and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect. “Behold, I have told you in advance.” (Matthew 24:3-5,11-13,24-25)
“In these perilous times we must prayerfully acquire great faith, wisdom, discernment, and courage in the face of Satan’s raging agenda”
We read in Revelation, “There was a war in heaven ... the dragon and his angels waged war, …and the great dragon was thrown down, the ancient serpent who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth and his angels were thrown down with him … Woe to the inhabitants of the earth … for the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.” (Revelation 12:7-9, 12) Our Savior said, “They [the redeemed elect] triumphed over Satan by the blood of the Lamb [covering their repentant hearts] and by the word of their testimony [biblical truth]; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Revelation 12:11) In these perilous times we must prayerfully acquire great faith, wisdom, discernment, and courage in the face of Satan’s raging agenda. The devil and his multiplying demonic battalions have gone forth throughout the earth in an escalating assault against Yahveh the Almighty Creator, biblical truth, His Jewish people, and the redeemed righteous remnant of Jews and Gentiles who hold to the truth of Yahshua Messiah’s testimony. Our Savior proclaimed, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6)
“The treacherous trickery and traps that the Enemy continually sets can be avoided if we learn to walk in the light of truth by the power of the indwelling Spirit””
Our Savior did not come to bring religion. Yahshua [Jesus] is the truth and He said, “You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free” because “I have come to destroy the works of the devil” and “to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed.” (1 John 3:8 and Luke 4:18) In the power of the light of truth and the power and authority of Yahshua’s [Jesus’s] name, “we are more than conquerors” over the evil strategies of the devil and Satan’s shackles of deception can be broken. (Romans 8:37) The treacherous trickery and traps that the Enemy continually sets can be avoided if we learn to walk in the light of truth by the power of the indwelling Spirit. “By grace you have been saved”, Yahveh God has raised us up and out of this world system “and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Messiah Yahshua.” (Ephesians 2:5,6) The faithful “born again” turn their heart and eyes away from this earth upward. (John 3:3) Apostle Paul says, “Therefore if you have been raised up with Messiah [Christ], keep seeking the things above, where Messiah is seated at the right hand of God.” (Colossians 3:1) The redeemed righteous remnant is removing all treasures from this world and reinvesting them in the Heavenly Kingdom; where our hearts are united with Yahshua [Jesus]. By clinging and remaining so close to Him, He teaches and gives us ears to hear and eyes to see with spiritual clarity. The Scripture says, “you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing [Spirit] teaches you about all things.” (1 John 2:27) Yahshua (Jesus) is the ultimate Teacher [Rabbi] and only through His Spirit can He reveal truth and give us 20/20 vision to discern and recognize Satan’s deadly strategies, land mines, and viper pits. “Thanks be to Yahveh God, who always leads us in triumph in Messiah.” (2 Corinthians 2:14)
“His indwelling Holy Spirit wants to mightily prepare and equip us to recognize and flee from Satan’s deceptions””
May we prayerfully grow to be found righteous and faithful ascending on the “straight and narrow path” brightly lit by Yahshua’s [Jesus’s] truth and presence. Our Good Shepherd is leading His little redeemed flock out of harms way from this deceived evil world. Only Yahshua [Jesus] knows the escape route and His sheep who “recognize His voice” will obediently follow Him to flee this world system and any deceptive religious agent who “masquerades as an angel of light and preacher of righteousness.” (Matthew 7:14, John 10:27, and 2 Corinthians 11:14-15) His indwelling Holy Spirit wants to mightily prepare and equip us to recognize and flee from Satan’s deceptions.
