“Therefore, as through one man’s [Adam’s] offense, judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation …”

- Romans 5:18 -

It is important to remember that due to our first parents, Adam and Eve’s sinful rebellion against the Heavenly Father, man was cast out and barred from the Creator’s presence, who “stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword … to guard the way to the tree of life within the Garden of Paradise.” (Genesis 3:24) Apostle Paul clarified this by saying, “Therefore, as through one man’s [Adam’s] offense, judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation …” (Romans 5:18) Sin entered the world through our first parents in the Garden of Eden and “all have sinned” because all are sinners. (Romans 3:23) Men and women sin by choice because they are sinners by nature. Therefore the dominion sin has over you is according to the delight you have in it. All of the human race was infected and infested with an inherited sin nature that has passed on from generation to generation. When Adam rebelled, fallen mankind no longer bore the Creator’s image and became subject to the same wrath that is coming on Satan and his fallen angels. Sinful man doesn’t resemble the Creator but resembles Satan. Yahshua (Jesus) referred to the sinners of His day saying, “your father is the devil.” (John 8:44)

Every single human being is a “born sinner” who needs a Savior. As Yahshua (Jesus) stated, “YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN!"

- John 3:7 -

Our Savior is trying to point out, “consider the source. If it is coming from the flesh it is the likeness of the enemy. If it is coming from the Holy Spirit, lining up to Scriptural truth, then it is the fruit of the Holy Spirit and bears the likeness of the sinless second Adam Yahshua (Jesus). (1 Corinthians 15:35) Sadly, mankind including many professing believers who continue to live in the flesh and its sin nature, which is at war against the Holy God and His Commandments, will also incur the wrath of God and be “cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— …” (Mark 9:45) Only those who are “born again” and bear the image they were originally created to bear in Yahveh’s likeness, are able to enter into the eternal righteous Kingdom as children of the Holy God. Sinful man is barred forever from His holy presence and flesh and blood without the “born again” spirit is not a child of God and does not qualify to enter and live in His Kingdom of Heaven. It is written, “without holiness no one will [ever] see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14) Every single human being is a “born sinner” who needs a Savior. Within the multitudes of professing believers there is only a small righteous remnant who are actually supernaturally ‘born again” spiritual “new creations”, they are the eternal children of God who will enter His Heavenly Kingdom. (John 3:3, 2 Corinthians 5:17) As Yahshua (Jesus) stated, “YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN!” (John 3:7)

In utmost love Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah came to earth and shed His holy lifeblood to “take our sins in His body”, to “cleanse our repentant sins in His blood”, and “clothe us in His righteousness” with His mandate to “go and sin no more.”

- Ephesians 1:7, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 John 1:7-9, 1 Corinthians 1:30-31, John 8:11 -

Looking at the whole scenario of the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve being cast out becoming fallen humanity, and the angels barring the gate so that no flesh and blood could ever enter it again, Yahshua (Jesus) made a way for us to be “born again”, bearing the Creator’s identity, and enter His Kingdom that He intended to lovingly fill with godly righteous offspring. He became one of us so that we could become one with Him. In utmost love Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah came to earth and shed His holy lifeblood to “take our sins in His body”, to “cleanse our repentant sins in His blood”, and “clothe us in His righteousness” with His mandate to “go and sin no more.” (Ephesians 1:7, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 John 1:7-9, 1 Corinthians 1:30-31, John 8:11) Although we live in these bodies of flesh that are prone to sin, even greater is the reality that the blood is always on the “heavenly mercy seat” for those who have “godly sorrow that produces repentance leading to salvation” in order for their sins to be atoned for, covered, and washed away by the blood of the Lamb. (Hebrews 4:16, Romans 3:23, 2 Corinthians 7:10, Revelation 7:13-14) As it is written, “Since we have now been justified by His blood [covering our repentant sins], how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath [on all sin and sinners] through Him!” (Romans 5:9)

The redeemed remnant “work out their salvation with fear and trembling” to go quickly to the altar of repentance. (Philippians 2:12) This is a continual process by which the spiritually born again child of God, who is heaven bound and no longer earthbound, is “changed from glory to glory”, being lifted higher and higher above the flesh and the world following Yahshua (Jesus) in the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18) The saints, the children of God bear more and more of His likeness until at last they ascend into the unbarred gate of the heavenly kingdom. They forget what is behind and press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called them heavenward in Messiah Yahshua (Jesus). (Philippians 3:13-15)

Our Savior’s redeemed righteous remnant wholeheartedly “fight the good fight of faith” against the self flesh nature and the incessant downward pull of this world with its endless dissipating preoccupations. (1 Timothy 6:12) It is written, “Therefore if you have been raised up with Messiah, keep seeking the things above, where Messiah is seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Messiah in God. When Messiah, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience.” (Colossians 3:1-6)

For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.”

- Romans 8:29 -

Those who are saints “lay aside the old self with its [inherited sin nature and] evil practices, and put on the new self who is being renewed” into the likeness of Yahshua (Jesus) by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. (Colossians 3:9b-10) It is written for our admonition and encouragement, “For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” (Romans 8:29) “Therefore if anyone is in Messiah, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) Our Heavenly Father says, “They shall be mine … in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him. So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.” (Malachi 3:17-18)

Footnotes

  1. The title “saints” for our Heavenly Father and Savior’s righteous elect is highlighted throughout the entire Scripture approximately 70 times. The original true meaning of the word saints is the godly ones. In Hebrew the word Kadosh - means separated from the flesh, sin, and the world unto our Heavenly Father and Savior.
