Do Not Touch His Glory

Psalm 115:1

Yahveh You alone are holy, You alone! There is no one else in heaven, on earth, or beneath the earth. The glory is due You Yahveh, who will not fear You and bring glory to Your name?

Apostle Paul said, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition and vain conceit so that you obtain glory for yourself,” (Philippians 2:3) so that you look good to other people; have the approval of other people. “Not to us, but to Your name be the glory.” (Psalm 115:1) Every single one of us are victims of that malady, we want a certain measure of recognition and glory. Do not touch what is His due! Do not touch His glory! Don’t desire for people to rave about you, whether it is your muscles, your intelligence, your clothing, your personality, or your wealth. “Not to us, but to Yahveh be the glory, great things He has done!”

Give Him the glory that is due His Name, worship Him in holiness through repentant hearts cleansed in the blood. If you do anything short of that you are a thief and according to His word you will be eternally banished, if you do not repent. He is pointing out words of omission and commission. He is the One you are to fear, He is the One you are to glorify.

Yahveh is calling us to His holy mountain as He called Israel but she could not come until she was consecrated and purified through the blood. Yahveh gave His precepts, His statutes, His commandments through Moses to Israel and Israel had to decide if she wanted to obey. Yahshua said “count the cost if you want to be His disciple.” (Luke 14:27-28) This is part of the cost; this is not religion. Religion is coming down! It is part of the rubble.

Israel was called, but she had to obey and when she said, “Everything Yahveh says we will do,” (Exodus 19:8) Moses took the blood of the bull and he sprinkled the people with this sacrificial blood and the first covenant was initiated

They had to be consecrated to approach that holy mountain where Yahveh had come down as a consuming fire. There was smoke, thunder and lightening, and the shofar loudly sounding and the people were afraid. We should be afraid for Yahveh is a consuming fire and He is going to burn up the tares in our lives if we will allow Him to. Let us ask Him to search our hearts, to take out the tares of our sin and cause us to be repentant.

Hebrews 12:18 says, “For you have not come to a mountain that may be touched and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and whirlwind, and to the blast of a trumpet and the sound of words which sound was such that those who heard begged that no further word should be spoken to them For they could not bear the command, “If even a beast touches the mountain, it will be stoned.” And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, “I am full of fear and trembling.” But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly YAHrusalyim (Jerusalem), and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the first born who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, and to Yahshua, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood.”

See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less shall we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven. And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.” And this expression, “Yet once more denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things in order that those things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to Yahveh an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:18-29)

He speaks from heaven through His word and the shaking has already started. Many people feel it, there is insecurity, but they run to other things to fill it, but we have got to run to Yahshua to be established on the unshakable Rock of our faith. Our faith will come from hearing the word of Yahveh and not moving to the right or the left of it.

Peter says, “Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may on account of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify Yahveh in the day of visitation.” (1Peter 2:12) We have to live in a way that honors Yahveh so specifically that others can recognize that we are His and eventually give Him glory. Not to us, but to Your name, be the glory and the honor.

We are to clothe ourselves in humility every day and say, “In everything we do in word and deed, lead us by Your Spirit that it will bring honor and glory to Your name and point people to You.” After we have done everything in obedience to what Yahshua has asked of us, we are to say, “We are but unworthy servants (Luke 17:10) and all glory and honor be to our King.” There is not one thing special about us other than Yahshua Messiah who lives in us.   May He be glorified in word and deed as we move out of the way and crucify our flesh that others can see and hear from Him. We rob Him of the glory if we do not live this way.
