- Chapter 8 -
The Great & Terrible Day of Yahveh
Malachi 4:1; Zephaniah 1:14
Wake up O sleeper, “For behold the day is coming, burning like a furnace; (Peter and most every prophet of old talked about the consuming fire that is coming to destroy the earth, and the inhabitants therein, because they broke faith and were not obedient to Yahveh’s covenant and commandments) and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff: and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,” says Yahveh of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root or branch.” (Malachi 4:1) It is coming, like James said, “Let your laughter be turned into mourning.”
“But for you who fear My name the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves loosed from the stall.” And you will tread down the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,” says Yahveh of hosts.” “Remember the Torah of Moses My servant, even the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel. “Behold I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of Yahveh. “And he will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse.(Malachi 4:2-6)
Yahshua also said, “Surely Elijah will come to restore all things.” The spirit of Elijah is going forth in places all over the world and he will come to restore a remnant to the pure uncompromised worship and obedience to Yahveh almighty. We are in that day, the warning is coming, a merciful warning. This is mercy. He sends the prophetic warning before He brings judgment. He gave Israel time to get the blood over their doorposts of their houses. He is giving us an opportunity to see how we have fallen short of His glory and to apply the blood over our repentant hearts. HalleluYAH.
Praise be to Yahveh, He “reveals all His plans ahead of time to His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7) All the prophets of old knew of this day, they longed to see it. This earth will be burned up, the inhabitants will be destroyed and a righteous remnant will enter in to the New Yahrushalyim, the Messianic Kingdom to come. They will serve Yahveh, they will glorify Him with the elders and the angels, and the host of heaven crying out, “Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh, Holy, Holy, Holy, Is Yahveh Almighty. Who will not fear, who will not glorify?”
Yahveh, You have spoken and we have heard, for You have opened our ears. “Father in heaven we pray that none of us are stiffed necked and rebel against Your word. Convict us by Your spirit of our sin, Your righteousness, and Your judgments that are coming.”
“The way of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.” (Isaiah 26:7) May we walk on those level paths as we flee from this world system, including the tainted doctrines of which we have all partaken. We want to take and rejoice in the delicacies of Your word at Your pure banqueting table.
Let Us Seek His Mercy Together
We have transgressed; we have not given You the praise, honor, and glory that is due Your Name. Satan, the robber, and his schemes have manifested through us. We have inadvertently robbed you of that which is Your due. We thank You that Yahshua’s blood is on the mercy seat and that His mercy can be applied to every humble and contrite heart that trembles at Your word.
Your love and mercy endures forever and those who do Your will, will endure forever. Oh, move by Your Spirit, Holy One of Israel, Mighty King Yahshua, our Redeemer. We pray that every heart will bow before You as the elders, the winged creatures, and the angels bow and fall prostrate on their faces before You. We pray that You bring our hearts to a place of utmost humility.
Our hearts are breaking and we hear You calling us to repentance. We humble ourselves knowing Your life’s blood is on the altar and it alone can cleanse us. We have shared our affections with others and with other things. We have robbed You of that which is Your due. We ask You to cleanse all of our lips from the cheap lip service we have given You.
It is by Your spirit that You teach us. Only by Your spirit through Your word do You lead us into all truth. The truth sets us free that we might ascend into Your holy presence, Your holy mountain, to worship You in spirit and in truth; which is Your due. Repentance is a gift, may each one of us have a fountain of repentance opened up for us, as we humble ourselves before You. May all the arrogance, self-justification, selfish ambition, and self-centeredness be laid bare, may it be burned up now, not later while it is in us and we burn with it. May we have humble hearts that place our sins on the altar, giving them to You, as an acceptable sacrifice.
Yahveh, this is so serious, I pray that no one miss it, for surely the day is coming and all the evildoers, those who stiffen their neck, close their ears, and go their own way, will be burned. This fire no one will be able to quench.
Yahveh, make a fire in our hearts, a zeal for You that will consume us with a desire to please You and to walk in righteousness. Father in heaven let self-consciousness, concern with how we look to others, and self-deception be banished we pray. Help us to recognize sin so we can repent and put on the altar that which is shown to us.
Yahveh, create in us clean hearts, create a steadfast spirit in each one of us. May we be steadfast, as Yahshua went, set like flint, to Yahrushalyim (Jerusalem) to be crucified. May we be set like flint, to die to our flesh, which will lead us into eternal destruction, so that we live by Your spirit. Put the fear of Yahveh in us I pray, Holy One, Mighty King of Glory.
May the fear of Yahveh, the beginning of wisdom, which is greater in value than any pearls, jewels, diamonds, or rubies, be given to us and may we be part of those who fear You and glorify Your name.
There is a world out there that rejoices, they serve the prince of this world, but their joy will be short lived. Give us joy unspeakable and full of glory because of Your presence abiding in our midst. May the blood of Yahshua wash each one of us clean as we humbly acknowledge our sins before You.
We have looked in a mirror at Your incomparable eternal word, may we not walk away and forget what we have seen and heard. You have magnified Your truths in huge proportions to our understanding. That which we know to do, let us do it not by our might, nor by our power, but by Your spirit. Strengthen each one of us to be more than overcomers. We want to overcome the flesh and its desires, the pulls of this world, and to recognize Satan’s schemes and resist him as we cling to You and Your word. Make us more than conquerors through Yahshua who strengthens us.
May we be transformed daily by the renewing of our minds as we place our lives on Your altar as living sacrifices made holy through the blood. Renew our minds that we might be transformed into the image of Yahshua and prove what is Your perfect will that even the pagans will glorify You on the day You visit this earth
HalleluYAH, for the blood of the Lamb! Though our sins be as scarlet, He has washed us, may we walk in the light we have been given. Help us to continue to strive to stay on that narrowing path of righteousness, following Yahshua our Lamb, bringing glory and honor to His holy name.
Help us to wake up to the responsibility that each one of us has and to continue daily to work out our salvation with fear and trembling before You. Help us Holy One not to get lax or to taste a little of the sin of the world, for it is poison and it will kill. The ways of this world have many promises that are empty and so deceiving. Greater are you Yahveh Almighty, through Your Son Yahshua, than the darkness of this world and its temptations and pulls.
We pray, in the name of Yahshua, that we will continually look up to You with praise and honor even when temptations come our way. May we push them aside and say, “The enemy is a liar, deceiver, destroyer and a robber of my joy, faith, and even my life if I believe him.” May we be strong in Your word, Yahveh. May we be strong in our faith daily to resist the devil knowing he must flee in the name of Yahshua.
We pray that Your joy will fill each one of us and that we will continue to ingest Your word, to long for Your word, to long for those times of quietness in our prayer closets with You. We want to draw close and hear You speak to us.
We diligently seek You and we ask for Your blessing to continually teach Your uncompromised word and to proclaim Your glorious name and Your Son’s glorious name. May we continue to be a bridge that blesses the Jewish people and the people that are not Jewish to have reconciliation as we bring forth the Old and New Testament that truly proclaims we are “one new man” in Yahshua.
