It is obvious when we have been immersed in the glorious presence of the Holy Spirit, even if people cannot articulate or understand it, they see the glory and it draws them upward away from the darkness of this world. The glory is a preview of Heaven and when people see His presence emulating through us, their spirits are touched, drawn, and turned heavenward. As it is written, “We are to God the pleasing aroma of Messiah among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life.” (2 Corinthians 2:15-17) The glory is so filled with the aroma of Yahshua and heaven that to those who are perishing it reminds them that they are going to die the second death and go to Hell without them even understanding it. So, it is like a stench of death. But to those who are going heavenward, it is the heavenly aroma of the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valley. It is tangible to behold to the naked eye. As it is written, “When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with Yahveh.” (Exodus 34:29) The presence of the Almighty transformed and transfigured him so profoundly that he had to have a veil over his face because of the brightness of the light of glory from being with Yahveh. It was so tangible that everyone could see its magnificence and knew, “this is beyond flesh and blood, it is from God.”
That is why in Messiah’s day “[the religious leaders] marveled and recognized that [Peter and John] had been with Yahshua.” (Acts 4:13) They had been in His presence, which is glory, and they were so transformed by it. Like Moses, they shone brightly with the glory and others could recognize that they had been with the Savior. But our flesh, “Satan the ruler of this world”, and the pull of this world, is fiercely competing for the glory to be syphoned away from Yahveh and Yahshua (Jesus). We must be on guard against all that would pull us back to the vainglory of this perishing world, which the flesh gravitates to because of its tangible sensual fulfillments. Satan uses his seductive power to keep our focus on these momentary distractions, robbing the Almighty of the glory that is due to Him and robbing us of the presence of our great God and Savior. If we allow Satan and the world to have the focus of our affection we come out the losers. Our Savior warned, “watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation”, which is Satan’s strategy by which to keep our senses so overstimulated and the desires of our carnal nature so seduced that our whole focus is on what we can see, feel, and touch to acquire and have. (Luke 21:34) What we long for in the natural becomes our motivating compulsive desire on earth instead of things above and the glory therein. We are robbed and defeated victims of Satan’s seductive eternally destructive agenda. Only the Spirit thrives on the intangible, unseen, yet spiritually profound presence of Yahveh, which is His glory.
We must desire to have the fruits of being in His presence, that emanating glory that separates us from all “professing believers” who “have a form of godliness that denies the power” of the Holy Spirit to transform them from glory to glory because they are still in the flesh living in the world. (2 Timothy 3:5) Yahshua (Jesus) makes it very clear that He sees us as an adulteress and His enemy when we have “friendship with the world”. (see James 4:4) This hypocrisy brings great sorrow and grief to our Heavenly Father because His people are “taking lightly such a great salvation”, “trampling under foot the blood of the covenant”, “insulting the spirit of grace,” and defaming Him while calling Him Lord and Savior. (Hebrews 2:3, 10:29) His “judgments will begin at the household of God.” (1 Peter 4:17)
There is a lack of “the fear of Yahveh” in so many churches and believer’s lives. Without the fear of Yahveh there is no wisdom that comes from uncompromised biblical truth and no power of the Holy Spirit by which to uphold it in our spiritual walk following our King in His glorious presence. Those who are living in the Spirit are enraptured in the glory receiving fullness of joy, in Yahshua’s presence. They are transformed by the glory that surrounds and fills them, and they bring glory to the Father in their words and deeds and are compelled to do so at any cost. They pour out their lives to dispense the riches of His glory that others may know Him and receive eternal life. We are guardians, we are to safeguard the glory with our lives. It is for Yahveh and it is for us, and it is for others. We are to make sure that the enemy, the thief, does not steal it. Those who love Yahveh know that they have been created for His glory, they guard their lives so that everything that comes forth is ascending glory to His throne. Regardless of whether people receive His love, truth, and light or not, it is bringing glory to the Father. HalleluYAH!
