- Day 4 -
The Righteous Will Live By Faith
Hebrews 10:38
“In just a very little while He who is coming will come and will not delay.” (Hebrews 10:37) It will be suddenly. This age will end, grace and mercy will end, and judgment and wrath will terminate this age with the wiping out of all sin and all who cause people to sin. Then a home of righteousness will be established for those who persevered, for those who had confidence and faith in everything He spoke, and did not consider their lives anything compared to knowing and doing the will of the Father. So, “He who is coming will come and not delay, but My righteous one will live by faith.” (Hebrews 10:37-38)
It is His righteous ones. If your mind is set on doing what is right then you will have no desire other than pleasing the Father, for He is called the Righteous One and we are His offspring. We cannot be the offspring of the Righteous One and continue to keep on sinning; it is impossible, only man says you can do that. Yahveh says, “No, the righteous ones will live by faith and if they shrink back I will not be pleased with them.” May we not be of “those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.” (Hebrews 10:38-39) If you don’t stand by faith you are not going to stand at all (Isaiah 7:9 NIV) with what is coming on the face of this earth. Only the righteous will stand, they will be standing in the presence of Yahveh, and no flood, fire, torrential winds, harm or eternal destruction, will come to them. Our refuge is secure in the Righteous One.
Yahveh does not listen to what comes out of our mouths as much as He sees whether our heart lines up to His. He told Israel, “You weary Me, you weary Me with what is coming out of your mouths, you weary me with your prayers, “Oh that there were one among you who would shut the temple doors…” (Malachi 2:10) “Oh, that you would shut the church doors. Oh, that you would shut your own prayer closet door and stop wearying Me with these prayers that are coming from your sentiment, from your religious doctrines, from deceptive spirits, from your flesh. Oh, that you would stop wearying me with these senseless prayers because they are not birthed by My spirit.”
If we are not praying in the spirit, we are praying in the natural and we will not receive what we prayed for unless we become such a nag like the Israelites where He will say, “I’m tired, you want it? You’ve got it and you will vomit it out of your nostrils, you will have an anorexic soul, and I won’t be with you, but you will have what you wanted.” The prayers that come by the Spirit are the same as our actions that are led by the Spirit; they will reap eternal rewards and dividends.
What is the will of the Almighty One who is spirit? What is the Ruach, the spirit’s desire? It is not as complicated as our desires, He is not like sifting sands, He is not fickle about what He wants, and He does not change His mind. He is not like us. He does not blow to the left and to the right. Yahveh’s word is yes and so be it and we have to line up to it. We have to pray according to His will, we have to pray into existence what His word is, for “the truth will set the captives free.” (John 8:32)
We know that it is His will that we “pray for the harvest that workers will be sent forth.” (Matthew 9:37) We know that it is His will that we be righteous and holy because without it He says no one will ever see Yahveh. (Hebrews 12:14) We know that it is His will that the truth not be mixed with error and that if we see anyone who is in sin, whether it be blatant sin or what the Bible calls unintentional sin, we are to admonish and exhort them gently and lovingly, rebuke and correct them to turn them back to the truth. We are to “pluck them from the fire but be careful that we ourselves do not become tainted by their sin.” (Jude 1:23)
We know these to be truths. We know that if we do not have agreement with Him we can’t walk with Him; “Unless two are in agreement they cannot walk together.” (Amos 3:3) So how can we walk and how can we gather with Him, the Jew first and then the Gentile? How can we walk with Him and gather with Him if we are in any way contending with His words? He will simply say, “I rebuke you Satan you think with the thoughts of man and not with the thoughts of Yahveh,” (Matthew 16:23) “I cannot walk with you. You line up to My word and co-labor with Me or don’t even pretend to be mine, for those who are mine seek and do the will of My Father.”
20/20 Vision in the Spirit
The will of Yahveh is being made clear; He has been fitting us with greater vision to see the way He needs us to see in the Spirit. We are born of the Spirit, we are to be dead to our flesh, we are to be seeing, moving, living, breathing, being, speaking, and acting in the Spirit. We need to be able to see in order to follow Yahshua, in order to walk with Him, in order to be discerning of the enemy’s schemes.
Now, if we are double minded; have you ever seen two eyes where one goes this way and one goes that way? It is very pitiful and you pray for them, Oh, Yahveh help that person, their eyes don’t go together, one is going to the left and one is going to the right. It is bad enough that it looks funny to the person looking on but can you imagine how it feels to have your eyeballs in two directions? You can’t decide which eyeball do I follow, for they are not in agreement with one another. Yahveh has given us vision that is not only good but it lines up with the way He sees things, so He can confide in us what His will is. He can dictate to us what the next strategy on His military agenda is for the forceful advancing and establishing of His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
There are people who are turned away from the military because they have very poor sight. Yahveh says, “I called you and I put you on the front line of battle, whatever your vision was is not an issue, I am the miraculous healer, I heal eyes as well as other parts of the body, and I am giving you good vision. I will give you great vision as long as you don’t get re-involved in civilian affairs and start using that vision for making plans in the world, for lusting after the things of the world.” When He gives us vision in the Spirit, we are going to have even greater vision in the natural and there is always going to be that conflict between the natural and the spiritual. The battles will not stop.
Yahveh is calling us to persevere. He says in the first verse of Hebrews 11, “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” This is what the ancients were commended for. Are we sure of what we hope for? Because if we are not we have faltering faith. Do we have confidence that Yahveh exists and His promises to us will never fail? These are the foundational pillars of faith and if we don’t have these foundations in our make up then we are not going to have the kind of faith that will stand. If our faith does not stand we won’t stand and it is not just about standing, it is the matter of persevering to do the will of Yahveh.
We are not to just say, ”I have faith, I am going to sit with faith and the things will shake and the fires of judgment will come.” No! It is a faith that will redeem the very little time left by the power of the Ruach HaKodesh invested in you. It is a faith that has entrusted your life to Him, knowing all that He has begun, He will complete. All you have to do is find out what His will is and walk in agreement with it by His spirit and you will see victory upon victory. Not for you, but for His namesake and glory, and because you are identified with his death and with His life the victory is for you as well.
That is how “all things work together for good for those who love Yahveh and are called according to His purpose,” (Romans 8:28) meaning those who have faith. They love Him, they have faith in Him, and because they love Him they obey Him and whatever happens Yahveh is using it for good. We also have confidence in all this, that it is going to be used for eternal purposes.
This nearsighted condition that we have been plagued with as humans is being taken away. With 20/20 vision we will have farsightedness, we will be able to see with the perspective, not of this little infinitesimal life we live, the brevity of time even though we live to be a hundred years old, it is far beyond that. The only way to eternity is through the temporal so we have to be sure we make it without being snared or captivated, seduced and deceived, by the evil one. He is there to stop us upon this path into Yahveh’s eternal presence.
