- Day 11 -
The Spirit of Yahveh Envies
The Holy Spirit envies everything we did not use that YAHveh, in wisdom, had given to us from the foundations of the earth. These varied gifts and talents were given to us for His glory, His name, His kingdom, and for His righteousness. The Spirit in us envies, yet many times we disregard His perfect instructions and foolishly and selfishly use these gifts and talents only for ourselves. In envy He will say to us, “I wanted you to use that talent for the Holy One! I wanted you to spend that for His kingdom, I wanted you to use your energies for His glory.” He envies in us! But many of us continue to ignore Him, and say, “Oh, don’t bother me, I am on a course, I have got ambition and the world says that is wisdom.” James 3:15 says, that kind of wisdom does not come from above, it does not come from heaven, it comes from below and it is unspiritual and it is from the devil.
The rubber keeps meeting the road for each of us. What does it mean to be righteous? What does it mean to really belong to YAHveh (the LORD), to do what is righteous in His sight? What does it really mean to love Him and to uphold the blood of YAHshua (Jesus) that was poured out so that we might have our sins forgiven and have His Spirit cause envy to direct our course? It will be a course that is for YAHshua and for the building up of His body, not for our or anyone else’s selfish pursuits.
Anything short of this is just a playground to pacify ourselves and for the enemy to keep us intoxicated with the things of this world until the day when there is no more breath of life left in us and he has got us. It will be too late, there will be no more, “Now is the day of salvation, if you hear His voice do not harden your heart” (2 Corinthians 6:2 and Hebrews 3:15). That day will be over and the door will be closed and YAHshua (Jesus) will say, “Away from Me, you hypocrite, you evildoer! Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? You claimed to know Me but by your actions you deny Me. I don’t care what you said, what you professed to believe, even the demons in hell believe I exist, but you did not live the life of obedience. You were a lover of pleasure rather than a lover of Me. You did not love Me enough to obey Me, you made friends with the world, which made Me an enemy to you. You did not draw near to Me and I did not draw near to you and your sins continually separated Me from you until there was no remedy left and you will be forever separated from Me.” (see references Matthew 7:23, Luke 6:46, Titus 1:16, James 2:19, 2Timothy 3:5, James 4:4,8, Isaiah 59:2)
It is plain and simple, that is why YAHveh the Almighty says over and over again, “Choose you this day life or death, blessings or curses” (Deuteronomy 30:19). He talks with simplicity and He repeats and repeats it, so that hopefully a remnant, saved by grace, from the Spirit of YAHshua that has jealously for righteousness, will motivate us to righteous living for His namesake and glory.
