Perfect Peace for Those Who Trust in You
Isaiah 26:3
“Messiah…will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him” (Hebrews 9:28). “In that day this song will be sung…“Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, the one that remains faithful. The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You. Trust in Yahveh forever, for in Yahveh, we have an everlasting Rock. For He has brought low those who dwell on high … He lays it low to the ground, He casts it to the dust. …The way of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level. Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, O Yahveh, we have waited for You eagerly…” (Isaiah 26:1-5,7-8).
When the Almighty’s judgments of terror, pit, and dread, as a pandemic overtake the earth, the righteous will be waiting for Him and glorifying His name. They will make His name known to others while they have perfect peace because their minds are stayed on Him. The day of Yahveh (the Lord) will be like a person who goes for a walk in the forest and sees a roaring lion, and runs from that lion only to see a huge growling bear, then run in terror from that bear to run into the house, lock the door, and lean with exhaustion and relief on the wall, only to see a poisonous viper ready to bite (see Amos 5:18-29). That is where we are, the day of the LORD is upon us, terror and pit on every side. Yahveh will bring desolation and destruction of this earth, so the righteous will have what He promised, a home of righteousness. “Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, O Yahveh, we have waited for You eagerly.”
He is our hope. Yahveh is our pearl of exceedingly great price that we sold everything else for. We are solely sold out to Him who is our exceedingly great reward, and by faith we believe all of His promises. When we see the sovereign promise to destroy the face of this earth and all of its wicked inhabitants, in that too, we will be joyful. Blessings come to the righteous as the curse falls on the wicked. That is why the Holy One says, “Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds. Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done” (Isaiah 3:10-11). “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Yahshua (Jesus), in essence, is saying, “Be of good cheer, My beloved, I am doing this for you.”
As we start to see these things it time for us to go into our rooms and start seeking Him alone−with all our hearts. As we wait on Him He will reward us. He will get us prepared, ready and able to stand in these days and endure to the end and be saved. No one knows the day or hour or how long our enduring and waiting will be.
Yahveh, “…Your name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls. At night my soul longs for You, indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; for when the earth experiences Your judgments the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. Though the wicked is shown favor, he does not learn righteousness; he deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, and does not perceive the majesty of Yahveh” (Isaiah 26:8-10).
We have got to get to a place in our relationship with our Savior where we are dead to the flesh and its cravings, lusts, desires, and the god of our stomach. The god of our stomach is not just food, it is the satiating of the carnal appetites that belong to the heathens. We are to have self-control and our God and Savior is purifying our appetites and desires for His kingdom. The food and drink of Yahshua (Jesus) satisfies us, bringing us into closer intimacy with Him.
On our bed at night we will long for Him, love Him, and eagerly await Him. When we awake in the morning our souls and minds will go to Him because we are gravitating toward our Beloved. We are magnetized to Him. The gravitational pull of this earth will have lost its force because we have been lifted up where the righteous have a smooth and level path, high above the heads of their enemies. That is living in the Spirit as we die to the flesh. HalleluYAH!
This is not theology and this is not a hypothetical hope. This is the walk that inevitably we get to with our love for Yahshua (Jesus) ruling, reigning, and dictating our actions and emotions. He brings us there as we continue to die to our wretched flesh. The more dead we are to the flesh, the more horrifying the rest of the flesh is—and it stands in the way of our relationship. As it grieves the Holy Spirit, it grieves us, and we beat back our flesh like Paul says, lest we ourselves become castaways (see 1 Corinthians 9:27).
Notice the element of hope in Isaiah 26:10, where the Almighty says, “But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness.” But when Yahveh pours out His judgments, there is mercy even for the unredeemed. It is going to be the biggest harvest field ever because all the toys, all the desires and lusts of the flesh, and everything we want on this earth will be gone. What can you desire when there is nothing left except escaping, if you can, and to where are you going to escape? “The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever” (1 John 2:17).
