Living for
The “Here and Now” or the “Here After”
“May we not take lightly our Savior’s sacrificial outpoured blood, “how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?”
Our Savior’s omnipotent arms are stretched out, embracing the whole world with His love. He is wooing and calling upward the remnant that He died to save. His blood is on the heavenly “mercy seat” to free us from sin, the pull of the world, and Satan’s deception. May the righteous redeemed remnant, know the unsearchable depths and heights of His love that covers a multitude of our confessed sins, heals the many hurts of our wounded hearts, and delivers us from spiritual chains of deception and bondage. May we not take lightly our Savior’s sacrificial outpoured blood, “how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3 NASB) Apostle Paul’s words instruct us, “I, … implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called” (Ephesians 4:1 NASB).
“The righteous remnant that live their lives focused for the here after, have their hearts and minds fixed on Yahshua [Jesus] and wholeheartedly strive for obedience to His Word”
Grievously, there is such a worldly generation of believers who live for the here and now and do not have their focus on the kingdom of heaven, the here after. Many who continually live for the here and now will reap the consequences of divine judgment. The righteous remnant that live their lives focused for the here after, have their hearts and minds fixed on Yahshua [Jesus] and wholeheartedly strive for obedience to His Word. This “called, chosen, and faithful” few will have the mindset and heart of a bride who is joyfully preparing to be with her beloved Bridegroom forever in His eternal holy Kingdom.
The redeemed remnant is overflowing with love and desire to be with Yahshua [Jesus]. They are leaving behind the selfish temporal desires and preoccupations of this dying world. Apostle Paul instructs us, “Therefore if you have been raised up with Messiah [Christ], keep seeking the things above, where Messiah is, … not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Messiah in God. Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry…” “For this you [must] know with certainty, that no immoral or impure or covetous person, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Messiah [Christ] and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons [and daughters] of disobedience” (Colossians 3:1-3,5 NASB and Ephesians 5:5-6 NASB).
“... It is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure”
The late midnight hour is upon us; the most important and vital call on our lives is to be ready and waiting for Yahshua [Jesus]. Listen to Apostle Paul’s words, “work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:12-13 NASB). The Holy Spirit is compelling us to seek more wisdom and to have a consuming desire focused on the heavenly here after. Yahshua [Jesus] is beseeching His remnant to forsake everything that competes for the utmost love and devotion that is due to Him alone.
Materialism is the religion of those within the religious system who live for the things that they can see, feel, and touch. Others do humanitarian good works. Many within the body are not led by the Spirit but by their flesh’s feelings to do good works . Only those who are “born again” in Yahshua (Jesus) and are “new creations” no longer live in their old carnal selves, but through the power of the Spirit do righteous deeds and speak righteous words that come forth by Messiah’s love, grace, and truth. They are the redeemed who are dead to their flesh and alive in the Spirit, living for the hereafter and not for the here and now.
