The End Of The Age

The End of the Age

The Holy One of Israel also prophesied through Isaiah, that the cataclysmic judgments will be inescapable and thorough”
— Isaiah 24:17-20

Messiah’s birth, death, and resurrection marked the beginning of the end of the age. Apostle Peter’s words confirm this, “The end of all things is near. Therefore, be sound-minded [have the mind of Messiah] and self-controlled [so that the Holy Spirit has rightful dominion over our sinful flesh nature] for the purpose of prayer,” unhindered by sin. (1 Peter 4:7) Over two thousand years later, we are seeing the biblically prophesied signs that we are at the very end of the age.  It is written, “…Yahveh [the LORD] is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth.” (Psalm 96:13)  The outpouring of the Almighty’s prophesied judgments have already begun, they will become increasingly intense as we are approaching the end of this present world. (Matthew 24:8) Yahveh made this reality clear through the prophet Amos saying, “The day of Yahveh [the LORD], … will be as though a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him! Or as though he went into the house, leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him!” (Amos 5:18-19) The Holy One of Israel also prophesied through Isaiah, that the cataclysmic judgments will be inescapable and thorough, “Terror and pit [of destruction] and snare confront you, O inhabitant of the earth. Then it will be that he who flees at the sound of terror will fall into the pit, and he who comes up out of the pit will be caught in the snare; … The earth is split apart, shaken violently, … Its transgression lies heavily upon it, and it will fall and not rise again.” (Isaiah 24:17-20) Yahveh God Almighty is “holy”, “jealous” and “a consuming fire.” (Psalm 99:9, Exodus 20:5, Hebrews 12:29) In sovereign fury He will destroy and eternally cast out from His presence and Kingdom “all sin and sinners” and all those “who destroyed His earth.” (Psalm 37:38, Revelation 11:18) The ultimate final judgments are called, “the wrath of the Lamb.” (Revelation 6:16) It will be unimaginable vengeance against all those who rejected Yahshua’s (Jesus’s) sacrificial blood and rose up in defiant pride against His gift of eternal life, and the requirement to be holy because he is a holy God. (1 Peter 1:16)

This is not just for the unsaved, it is also going to be upon the many people who call Him ‘Lord and Savior’ but continue to keep on sinning, continue to go back to the love and friendship of the world, insulting the spirit of grace becoming His enemy. (See Matthew 7:21, Hebrews 10:26-29, 1 John 2:15, 3:6, James 4:4) They will suffer the wrath as well, because they were “given more and much more was required” of them. (Luke 12:48) They provoked to wrathful jealousy the Holy Spirit of grace who is jealous to prepare us as a bride for our Bridegroom. (See James 4:5, 2 Corinthians 11:2)

The certainty of the earth’s destruction makes it intensely urgent for us “to work out our salvation with fear and trembling,” repenting of every sin that needs to be atoned for and covered by the precious blood of the Lamb”
— Philippians 2:12

Apostle Peter warned that “the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. … But according to His promise we [the redeemed righteous remnant] are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you look forward to these things, be diligent to make every effort to be found by Him in peace, spotless, blameless and holy.” (2 Peter 3:10, 13-14) The certainty of the earth’s destruction makes it intensely urgent for us “to work out our salvation with fear and trembling,” repenting of every sin that needs to be atoned for and covered by the precious blood of the Lamb. (Philippians 2:12) Yahshua (Jesus) stated, “But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.” (Matthew 24:37) In the time of Noah, before the flood, the Creator “saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually. So Yahveh, the Lord was sorry that He had made mankind on the earth…” (Genesis 6:5-6) He destroyed the earth by the flood, but as Peter saw and proclaimed, in the final judgment it will be by fire. The Most High God can bring the fire from heaven or He can use man to set off the weapons of fiery mass destruction. These end time judgments are divinely decreed and therefore irreversible, they cannot be thwarted by prayer. The Eternal God and Creator declared, “even though Noah, Daniel, and Job prayed it would not change the certainty of the prophesied judgments and ultimate wrath of the Lamb,, they could save only themselves by their righteousness …” (see Ezekiel 14:20)

The blood of the Lamb on heaven’s mercy seat, is continually crying out, “Repent, I do not want anyone to perish!”
— 2 Peter 3:9

Yahshua (Jesus) says, “What I say to you I say to all: ‘Stay alert!’” “Be on your guard, so that your hearts will not be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that this day will not come on you suddenly, like a trap.” We have got to stay awake and be under the Spirit of self control like Peter said, “The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded.” (1 Peter 4:7) We must be vigilant, staying awake, making sure that our flesh is under the control of the Holy Spirit or it will continually, by the world’s gravitational pull go back to the old flesh nature and its sin. “Be always on the watch [awake in the Spirit], and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand unashamed before the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:42, Luke 21:34, Mark 13:37) “…How shall we escape if we ignore or take lightly such a great salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3) The blood of the Lamb on heaven’s mercy seat, is continually crying out, “Repent, I do not want anyone to perish!” (see 2 Peter 3:9) We are to come humbly with great faith “to the throne of grace” to receive our Savior’s merciful forgiveness, as we acknowledge our inherited ever present sin nature. The breaking of God’s righteous commandments and mandates is sin. Unconfessed habitual sin is what separates us now and eternally from our God and Savior, who said you must be holy for I am holy and without holiness no one will see Him. (see Isaiah 59:2) When we acknowledge that we have not walked according to His perfect will and holy commandments, we are confessing our sin, and Yahshua (Jesus) rejoices to cleanse our repentant hearts with His atoning blood and to clothe us with His righteousness. “If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (Hebrews 9:22, 1 John 1:9-10)  It is up to us whether we are going to uphold His precious sacrificial blood through obedient surrendered lives under the rulership of the Holy Spirit or trample it because we go back to the flesh and it evil nature and worldly desires. We are to choose between life and death, blessings or curses. Time is of the essence, make the most of your time and make wise choices.
