Ask Where the Good Way Is & Walk In It
Jeremiah 6:16
“‘For from the least of them even to the greatest of them, everyone is greedy for gain, and from the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely. They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, saying, “Peace, peace,” but there is no peace. Were they ashamed because of the abomination they have done? They were not even ashamed at all; they did not even know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I punish them, they shall be cast down,’ says YAHveh.” (Jeremiah 6:13-15)
“This is what YAHveh (the LORD) says [to us]: ‘Stand at the crossroads and look [we are at a crossroads dear friend, YAHveh is extending mercy to us while the writing is getting more and more etched on the walls]; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.’ But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ I appointed watchmen over you and said, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But you said, ‘We will not listen’” (Jeremiah 6:16-17 NIV).
When YAHveh gave His laws, He said, “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants” (Deuteronomy 30:19). “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law [Torah] until all is accomplished” (Matthew 5:18).
“Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their plans, because they have not listened to My words and as for My law [Torah], they have rejected it also” (Jeremiah 6:19).
We need to be studying diligently so that we will not be ashamed and naked thinking we have arrived, like the Laodicean church, in lack of nothing. When in truth we are blind, naked, unprepared, pitiful, and about to be spewed out of His mouth because of the arrogance of thinking that we are righteous in His sight. He is going to judge His people, and it begins in the household of professing believers. We were to be His witnesses, as Israel was, that YAHveh is the One true living God. YAHshua (Jesus) says, “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of YAHveh will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it” (Matthew 21:43)—and we have not born its fruit! Judgment and blessings always come to the Jew first. The Jews have suffered judgment after judgment after judgment.
YAHveh (the LORD) cried out in [Ezekiel’s] hearing with a loud voice saying, “Draw near, O executioners of the city…. Behold, six men came…each with his shattering weapon in his hand; and among them was a certain man clothed in linen with a writing case at his loins. …[YAHveh] called to the man clothed in linen at whose loins was the writing case …‘Go through the midst of the city, even through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst.” But to the others He said in my hearing, ‘Go through the city after him and strike; do not let your eye have pity and do not spare’” (Ezekiel 9:1-5).
Ezekiel cried out saying, “Aren’t You going to spare anyone?” YAHveh said to the messenger, “You shall start from My sanctuary” (Ezekiel 9:6). Judgment begins at the household of believers. In essence YAHveh (the LORD) said, “Start at the sanctuary and utterly destroy everyone who is compromised, just giving me lip service, in rebellion, and far from Me.” But He said, “Put a mark on the heads of those who weep and mourn and lament with Me over the abominations being done that transgress My righteousness.”
Several years ago I had a dream, and in the dream I heard YAHshua speaking to angelic messengers; He was giving them instructions saying, “Go, put a mark on the people. Go, put a mark on the people. Go, put a mark on the people.” I woke up instantaneously and I knew judgment was coming and YAHveh was marking His people who were going to be spared because they were horrified, grieved, and sorrowful with Him. They bore that grief, sorrow, and lamentation with Him because of all the abominations and transgressions of His righteous word and decrees.
We are going to have some kind of mark on us, my friend, and we want to make sure it is put there by YAHveh (the LORD) in favor and mercy. YAHveh said to Elijah that there are 7,000—a symbolic number of people in the world—who knew Him, loved Him, and walked in obedience to Him. They might live in a lonely place in the world, but they truly rejoice in the place of intimacy of heart with Him. They loved Him more than their lives, more than anything, and that is what He wants from us.
I can’t wait to see Him! I can’t wait to be with Him, and I hope and pray you feel the same way. HalleluYAH!
