I am Going to Shake the Heavens & the Earth
Haggai 2:6
“For thus says YAHveh (the LORD) of hosts, ‘Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land” (Haggai 2:6). The shaking has already begun. As fault lines are pervading the earth’s surface so, too, in the spirit there are many fault lines in our lives and walks with our Savior. These places are inroads for shaking because they are not built and established on YAHshua (Jesus) the immovable rock of our salvation.
We do not want to stand in perils way—all that can be shaken will be shaken. “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall” (Matthew 24:27).
Without faith it will be impossible to stand in this great shaking and many will fall and never to rise again because their faith was lip service and flimsy to the core. Like white washed bulging walls that are covered with a mere form of religion— a covering without substance, they are doomed to fall like the temple in YAHshua’s (Jesus’s) day. It was beautiful outwardly but as He spoke, “Not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down” (Matthew 24:2), so too is anything that we endeavor to build other than our intimate, personal, faith filled, relationship with YAHshua—the rock of our salvation.
YAHshua (Jesus) speaks from heaven through His word, and the shaking has already started. Many people feel it; there is much fear, confusion, and insecurity, but they run to other things to fill their lives and alleviate the inner fear, pain, and turmoil. We must run to YAHshua (Jesus) and get our feet firmly planted on the unshakable Rock of our faith. Our faith will come from hearing the word of YAHveh (the LORD) and not moving to the right or the left of it.
This great shaking will ultimately remove everything unholy, impure, hypocritical, deceptive, and built by man’s devices. All that is not rooted in Him is destined to fall as rubble−then a pure, humble, and obedient generation will be formed as “living stones” (1Peter 2:5) into YAHveh’s holy house. YAHshua (Jesus) will fill this house with such glory that indeed, “The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former …” (Haggai 2:9).
