YAHveh Alone Will Be Exalted
Isaiah 2:17
“The pride of man will be humbled and the loftiness of men will be abased; and Yahveh (the Lord) alone will be exalted in that day, but the idols will completely vanish. Men will go into caves of the rocks and into holes of the ground before the terror of Yahveh and the splendor of His majesty, when He arises to make the earth tremble. In that day men will cast away…their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made for themselves to worship, in order to go into the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs before the terror of the Lord Yahveh and the splendor of His majesty, when He arises to make the earth tremble. Stop regarding man [mere humans], whose breath of life is in his nostrils; for why should he be esteemed?” (Isaiah 2:17-22) For behold Yahveh God who leads the host of the armies of heaven, He is a mighty Warrior, the Judge, and the Prophet of our souls, and He is going to lead us into victory.
“Behold, Yahveh (the Lord) lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface and scatters its inhabitants. …The earth will be completely laid waste and completely despoiled, for Yahveh has spoken this word.” (“Completely” is a big word. It means thorough. It means it will be done and there won’t be anything that is not touched by the overflowing righteous indignation of the Almighty God and Savior. One breath and blast of His nostrils and the whole earth can be removed from the galaxies.) “The earth mourns and withers, the world fades and withers, the exalted of the people of the earth fade away. The earth is also polluted by its inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated statutes, broke the everlasting covenant. Therefore, a curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are held guilty. Therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few…are left” (Isaiah 24:1,3-6). It is very important to understand the reality of why this earth is soon to be completely destroyed. It is because people have broken the covenant with our Holy God and did not want the Creator of heaven and earth to exist in any human’s mind or memory. So they obliterated His Commandments and laws, and they broke obedience to Him and His covenant. In Deuteronomy 28, Yahveh (the Lord) proclaimed the blessings for obedience and the curses for disobedience saying, “Choose you this day….” Everlasting words of the Almighty’s sovereignty proclaimed judgment—it is coming, it is at hand.
The Holy One is instructing us with “mighty power…not to walk in the way of this people…in regard to all this people call a conspiracy …you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it. It is Yahveh Sabbaoth [who leads the host of angelic warriors] whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, And He shall be your dread” (Isaiah 8:11-13). Throughout Israel’s history, the Almighty used Israel’s enemies as war clubs to discipline, refine, and purify the small remnant who survived His discipline, judgment, and righteous indignation. We are not to fear the war clubs because our God and Savior is in charge. We are to fear Yahveh—it gives us wisdom. His word instructs us on how to live victoriously in these last days. Yahshua (Jesus) says, “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul” (Matthew 10:28). Don’t fear Jew and Christian haters who are abounding worldwide. Don’t fear the ones who are going to kill you so that they can have food to eat when money is so scarce and food is even scarcer. He said don’t fear these things and don’t dread them. You have to be on your guard about fear—it is an epidemic, pandemic in proportion in the last days. It is contagious and being perpetrated over the airwaves and in our thoughts over and over again. Fear is being stamped into our beings, and we cannot allow this. God has not given His people a spirit of fear (see 2 Timothy 1:7).
Fear is for the people of the world, that is their inheritance. Satan is their father, the father of lies, and they are in store for great judgment. They should fear what is coming, but we, the children of Yahveh our God, are not to fear those who kill the body. We are to fear the One who has the power after the body is dead to throw us into everlasting torment and darkness. He is the One we are to fear (see Matthew 10:28). This is going to be part of the battle of the elect. Fear is going to have to be battled day and night as well as dread and terror when it is right at our door. “The name of Yahveh is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe” (Proverbs 18:10). He alone can shelter and protect us. We cannot be about saving our lives, we have to be about dying filled with grace. We are called to die to our flesh. Whoever tries to save their lives are going to lose them (see Matthew 16:25, Luke 9:24). If we are filled with grace, it doesn’t matter what comes our way. We will endure it victoriously to the end.
This is what He is trying to bring to the attention of His people. Whoever has an ear, let them hear what the Spirit is saying in these last days where terror and pit are truly awaiting the people of the earth. But overcoming faith, His love that casts out all fear, and hope that is given by amazing grace to His children will be a shield and a buckler that will keep us high above the enemies that cause fear and trepidation. This is why the righteous runs to Him daily having perfected a relationship where they can seek for Him at any moment and find Him. They cling and hold on to Him knowing Yahshua’s (Jesus’s) word promises, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you” (Isaiah 43:2). He will see them safely to the other side.
