Our God will Supply All Your Needs

Philippians 4:9

Yahshua (Jesus) would have us look up and be acutely aware as we see the signs of the times unfolding—as prophesy coming to life—before our very eyes. His Spirit within us is urging us to transfer our focus and attention off this earth and earthly preoccupations because it will only rob us of the spiritual stamina, wisdom, and insight which we need now and in the days ahead in order to stand firm and endure faithfully to the end of our stay on earth. Our Father in heaven has provisions laid up for us, part of the riches of His glory, to be bestowed upon His children as we look to Him to provide instruction from His infinite wisdom as to how to redeem the time, as there is little daylight left, by which to serve our King and glorify Him in our words and deeds on earth. If instead of looking up we are looking downward or to the left or right focusing on the earth, our own strength, or to other people for help, we will miss the abundant supply of provisions He has for us. To be “more than conquerors” to the end. (see Romans 8:37)

With the reality of the times we are in, this should be a spiritual probe from our Good Shepherd to His little sheep to cause us to look up and continue looking up, taking our focus off the world and all that use to satisfy our flesh. The Holy Spirit is trying to redirect our focus and sever us from the preoccupation with this dark earth to look to the light of the heavenly King and His kingdom. We are to joyfully redistribute our talents, gifts, focus, and affections and invest them into our eternal heavenly home and into the souls of men that can share in the eternal riches of our King’s glory and kingdom.

If we do not assert the spirit of self-control but continue to invest our time and energy, and have our treasures on this earth, we will end up like Lot’s wife. She was not only stopped in her tracks but became a dead pillar of salt before she finished the race to the eternal safe haven. Yahveh wants His redeemed beloved to flee from the judgments that are coming. He is warning us not to stand still, or to look back to the earth that is under the forthcoming judgments, or to bemoan the destruction of our earthly pleasures and investments that will become as nothing but a pillar of useless salt. To put it simply, we do not want to be like Lot’s wife looking back to what she loved on earth. In her rebellion against Yahveh’s instructions, she did not receive His great deliverance from His judgment on sin and a sinful nation.

For example if somebody says, “I’m giving you a life preserver, you will need it. It is coming by way of a helicopter so be looking up for the helicopter.” What if that person says, “Well, I really don’t feel like looking up continually so I am going to see if I can find somebody on the shore or a ship to see if they have a life preserver.” Yahveh (the LORD) said, “I told you to look up. Look up to the Kingdom, I am bringing you help from above. Look up for it!” There is nothing and no one on this earth that can possibly give us what we need to endure to the end. On the contrary, depending on our own strength, other people’s strength and wisdom, or the things of this earth to help us is only going to be a gravitational pull on our souls and spirits ensnaring us to this earth even more. Those earthly snares, focuses, and preoccupations will leave us unprepared and unable to flee and run from the judgments that are already visibly taking place and more are coming.

What is judgment on unrighteousness is a blessing for the righteous. It is our queue to look up to receive our provision, wisdom, and life jackets to endure, with the Holy Spirit’s help within. We must understand the times we are in, as Apostle Peter said, “we have the prophetic message as something completely reliable and you do well to pay attention to it, as a light shining in a dark place.” (2 Peter 1:19) It will help us to see exactly where we are and how much heavenly direction and wisdom will be required to stay on a safe, narrow, and level path as we wait for the redemption of our souls into His eternal kingdom.

As we see prophesies from the Old and New Testaments all unfolding, this is a time to be awake in the spirit, “The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.” (1 Peter 4:7) Now is the time for the redeemed children to grow up even more quickly into maturity. Apostle Paul said, “When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.” (1 Corinthians 13:11)

In response to Apostle Paul’s words we would do well to pay attention to the admonition to throw away the childish ways of earthly preoccupations and thrills and deal with reality in the Spirit. We are to become crucified to this dying world more than ever before and the world to us (Galatians 6:14) so we can stand without shame and condemnation before the Holy God. In the book of Hebrews we read, “Without holiness no one will see the [Him]” (Hebrews 12:14) and “without faith it is impossible to please Him.” (Hebrews 11:6) Our Savior continually said to all listening, “He who has an ear to hear” listen and obey what the Spirit is saying, beseeching, imploring, and compelling us to do.

There is an urgency that is being felt by many people more and more as we are watching the signs of the end days unfold rapidly. The Almighty Yahveh is sounding a shofar in the hearing of His people beseeching us to run from this doomed world, take up our cross in the process, and follow Him so that we can endure victoriously to the end.

Any message that is not awakening the slumbering masses, is dulling and lulling the Almighty’s people to sleep. A mother and father love to hug their little children and rock them in their laps. It is a wonderful and natural thing to do; but when the house is on fire, you put that child on his feet saying, “Get your coat and run, we have to go!” There is a time and a place for everything—and this is the time we need to leave the earthly cares, concerns, desires, and comfort zones and to flee away from these temporal things and move upward in the eternal Spirit of our Savior and His beckoning love for us.

It is a necessity to pull up our tent pegs out of this world in order to move spiritually, following the Holy Spirit in the midst of His glory that is transforming us upward from glory to glory. No more horizontal temporal preoccupations of the earth but a vertical thoroughfare is opening up for those in the Spirit to ascend into an open heaven in His Presence. Through obedience, prayer, and by following the Holy Spirit, they are bearing the identity of their Savior as they learn to live, breath, and have their being more and more invested in heaven. (See Acts 17:28) This transfer of focus from the earth to the Spirit is a necessity or we will end of being double minded people, confessing Him with our lips but our hearts are going to be on this earth that is under His judgment. Yahshua (Jesus) said, "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her [judgments].” (Revelation 18:4)

Right now the issue for all of us is that we need a deeper intimacy and a more powerful daily connection with Yahveh (the LORD) though Yahshua (Jesus). We must have it. We have to go into prayer and leave the things that are calling us to the preoccupations of this world that is doomed to destruction. There is no way around it. The intimacy we have in prayer allows Him to speak clear and definitive words of instruction, guidance, and direction that we will need for our faith to be strong and for us to be able to escape what is coming. Yahshua (Jesus) said, "…keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man." (Luke 21:36)
