Global Pandemic of Fear
Suddenly, to the dismay of humanity, the whole world came to a dramatic halt and shut down. Without warning the inhabitants of the earth became prisoners behind invisible bars of a global quarantine. Wave after wave of consuming gripping fear was released to terrorize the hearts and minds of the masses. The spread of fear and depression is more deadly than the actual Coronavirus. Satan looks for every opportunity to capitalize in circumstances to inject fear into the hearts of man. The faith filled redeemed remnant must not fear trusting this important biblical promise, “… God causes all things to work together for good [eternal good] to those who love God, to those who are called according to His [holy] purpose” (Romans 8:28). Throughout the Scripture, it was prophesied that conditions on earth would become increasingly volatile and fiercely perilous, “for it will be a time of great suffering, such as never has been from the beginning of the world till now, and assuredly never will be again” (Matthew 24:21).
For the redeemed, our Heavenly Father is causing a paradigm shift, the refocusing of our hopes and treasures from this transitory earth under judgment to the heavenly kingdom. Yahshua (Jesus) said, “when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28). "… I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world [and its fearful and increasingly dreadful events]" (John 16:33). Fear is the arch-enemy of our faith and “faith is the victory [over fear] and overcomes the world” and its many unexpected terrorizing circumstances (1 John 5:4). As prophesied in the last days, this earth is under increasing judgments, and to the degree that you have any investment of hope in this world your faith will be battered and shattered, because it is in the wrong place.
Faith keeps our focus “not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” We are to “walk by faith” and “not by sight” during our brief pilgrimage on earth (2 Corinthians 4:18, 5:7). It is written, “without faith it is impossible to please God” and “if you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all [we will fall into fear]” (Hebrews 11:6, Isaiah 7:9). Yahshua (Jesus) asks us, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” (Mark 4:40) If our hopes and desires are to be with Him in His kingdom, then nothing that happens on earth will be able to remove us from our secure position of faith in our Redeemer’s protecting power and biblical promises.
It is written, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). “Social distancing” gives us an opportunity to reprioritize our focus and repent for the grievous spiritual distance that we have had from our Savior. The Spirit of truth is getting our attention that it is high time to wholeheartedly commit the remainder of our lives to draw increasingly closer to our holy God. What the Enemy has meant for evil our God is using for good, this world and all of its idols are under His judgment and are slowly but surely being destroyed. These world shaking events are making it easier for us to stop having our focus on the things here on earth that are shaking and are ultimately doomed for destruction. All of our hope, peace, and joy must come from Yahshua (Jesus). “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above …”. We are to “set our hearts on things above, where Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God.” “He will keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him, all whose thoughts are fixed on Him!” (James 1:17, Colossians 3:1, see Isaiah 26:3)
The sobering reality, in these end times, is that there is no real future and hope on this transitory earth. We must not look forward but upward “for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Yahshua Messiah [Jesus Christ]” (Titus 2:13). The Holy Spirit is giving us an urgent heavenly alert. The redeemed must immediately cultivate an obedient righteous close relationship with our beloved God and Savior. We must be busy about His business, seeking Him in His word through fervent prayer and repentance as we turn away from self-pleasing desires, cravings, and Satan’s deceptive temptations. It is eternally vital that Yahshua (Jesus) become more important and valuable to us than any other relationship and everything else this expiring earth has to offer. “Social distancing” can be viewed as a blessed opportunity to combat spiritual distancing which brings curses with devastating consequences. Unrepentant continual sin keeps us at a spiritual distance from Him now and forever. Spiritual distancing from the Holy One has to stop! If it doesn’t stop here, through our repentance and turning from our sins, we will remain far from Yahshua (Jesus) eternally, regardless of our half hearted lip service and hypocritical confession of faith.
It is written, “Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God" (Acts 14:22). Our Savior is urging us to “fight the good fight of saving faith” in the midst of these turbulent times, now and in the future, as we take action to spiritually distance ourselves from the unceasing pulls and preoccupations with this world (1 Timothy 6:12). Yahshua (Jesus) is calling us to come up higher and draw much nearer to Him in order to resist and flee the pandemic of fear. We are being urged to “redeem the time” as faith filled “born again” believers, bearing our Savior’s holy identity, “shining as a bright light” of unwavering faith in these dark perilous end times. (Ephesians 5:16, John 3:3, see Matthew 5:16)
The Messiah asks this question, “… When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8) Let us learn from this dramatic Coronavirus experience and not get too comfortable in the temporary pause between the trials and tribulations that are prophesied for the earth at the conclusion of the age. There will be many more suddenly’s, the birth pains of diverse plagues, earthquakes, tribulations, and wars will become more frequent and closer and closer together (see Luke 21:11). Yahshua (Jesus) said, “in this world you will have tribulations but be of good cheer I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). We read the wealthy are buying and building bunkers under ground to be safe from the dreadful things that are coming on the earth. Let us, the royal born again children of the Almighty, run to our bunker of safety into the “secret place of the Most High” and in His heavenly bunker we will spiritually “live and move and have our being” (see Psalm 91:1, Acts 17:28). Regardless of what is going to happen Yahveh God is our defense and we will not be moved from our “secure position” of faith and peace in the presence of our God and Savior. We read, it is only the “called and chosen and faithful” who are with the all conquering King of kings when He returns at the culmination of the age. Yahshua (Jesus) said, "the one who has endured [through faith] to the end, he will be saved” (2 Peter 3:17, Revelation 17:14, Matthew 24:13).
Prayer
Father in Heaven, I am so grateful that You have not given me a spirit of fear because fear is from Satan and it is the enemy of my faith. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, I submit my life to You and resist the devil and all of his fear mongering and he will flee from me. Thank you that my faith in Your faithfulness is my greatest weapon against fear. In these prophesied end times help me to stand firm in my faith as I draw near to You regardless of what continues to come in jolting waves disrupting my life and comfort zones. Yahshua (Jesus) it brings me peace to know that in the uncertain volatile times upon the earth, in the midst of this global pandemic of fear and “social distancing”, that You will never leave or forsake me. I am comforted by Your words, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God”.
Please give me the grace and the power of Your Holy Spirit to “fight the good fight of faith” and to defeat my enemy of fear and anxiety. I ask you to help me to stand firm in Your word that says, “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Forgive me for having my focus and attention on the things of earth and having fear rather than faith that pleases You. I repent for not only faithlessness and fear but for the many ways that I have had preoccupations with this world that’s under judgment. Please convict me continually of my ever present sin nature and wash me with Your cleansing blood. Please give me the grace and power of the Spirit to keep the doors of my life closed to the Enemy so that I am the victor and not the victim of his relentless strategies. I long to cultivate an intimately close relationship with You without any sin causing a spiritual distance between me and You, my holy God and Savior.
Holy Spirit, I ask You to strengthen me to stand immovably firm in saving grace and faith. Thank You for the wisdom I am learning from the quarantine and “social distancing”, knowing I need to be drawing so much closer to You so that when the next sudden upheaval comes on earth I will not be overcome with fear but will overcome fear with faith. Thank you for drawing my focus away from this earth to look upward for the blessed hope, Your glorious appearing. I praise Your name Yahshua (Jesus), You are my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, and my ever present help in times of trouble. In You alone will I trust and be eternally secure. Amen.

A Song of Our Savior’s Love
- No Matter What -
Our Savior’s promise is that no matter what He will always love you. Indeed, nothing will ever change His love for you because no matter what He will guide you, protect you, and be with you. Indeed, the Bible says that nothing can separate us from the love of Messiah. Yes, “neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in YAHshua (Jesus) our Lord” (Romans 8:35-39). When we are weak He will lift you on His shoulder; when we are down He will hold you in His arms. Yes, in our weakness He is made strong and that strength comes directly from our God’s unfailing love. As such, we must never fear for our King and Savior’s promise is no matter what He’s always with you because His love for you will never change. All He asks in return is for you to believe in Him. The heartbeat of this song is for us to attempt to comprehend just how wide and long and high and deep is the love of YAHshua (Jesus) for you (Ephesians 3:17-19). As King David said, “Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies” (Psalm 36:5).
Above all remember the words from Romans, “nothing shall separate us from the love of Messiah … we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God” (Romans 8:35-39). Simply, trust in the Almighty’s love for you - give thanks to him because His love endures forever (Psalm 136:26). Yes, trust in our God’s unfailing love forever and ever (Psalm 52:8) for indeed, no matter what He will always, always love you, protect you, and keep you. Believe in Him for He will never fail you. He’s there to catch you when you fall, he’s there to guide you on a straight and level path, and He’s there to wipe all your tears away. Remember, as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love toward those who fear Him (Psalm 103:11). Indeed, nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:35-39) because no matter what, his love never fails! Trust in Him my dear friend for He is your help and shield. If we are faithless, He remains faithful (2 Timothy 2:14) because His love endures forever (Psalm 136). That is His promise to us and indeed, the Almighty’s promises are yes and amen so take heart dear one because NO MATTER WHAT - HE LOVES YOU!
