“Whoever is Thirsty, Come”

John 7:37

Yahshua (Jesus) says, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing” (John 8:54). Who are we out to glorify? Who are we out to please? Whose satisfaction are we looking for, our own, or Yahveh’s (the Lord’s) good pleasure? The apostle Paul tells us to “Find out what pleases the Lord” (Ephesians 5:10). Then do it. If you don’t want to do that, you really do not have His interests at heart, and you will fall into the category of being just a hypocrite.

This goes for all believers. We can all fall under this sin of hypocrisy at times. We have eloquent words that we can speak, but He is looking at our hearts. In His mercy, He is trying to cleanse and remove all sin from us. So that we will be a pure, spotless, and blemish-free bride, wearing our fine white linen (our blood-washed garments).

From the beginning in Genesis to the book of Revelation, being the end, the Old and New together hem us in with truth. We are to be sanctified by truth, so we may become righteous and “present to Yahveh offerings in righteousness … as in days of old,” as we read in Malachi 3:3-4. This is befitting, for we, as “priests”, have been given the gift to go into the Holy One’s presence. “All Scripture is inspired by Yahveh and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

“The Spirit and the bride [the Spirit of Yahshua (Jesus) in His bride, those who are pure, spotless, and ready for the Bridegroom who are working out their salvation], say ‘Come.’ … And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost” (Revelation 22:17). This is the water that comes from the rock that fed Israel by Yahveh’s (the Lord’s) divine mercy in the wilderness, that He would have a people who would make it into His eternal presence. HalleluYAH, praise be to Yahshua (Jesus)!

Are you thirsty? Come, the Rock of our salvation is the Rock who freely pours out the water that will cause us not to thirst after the things of this world. We won’t want spiritual soda pop when we have water from the Rock. We will be blessed; we will not thirst for other things. How do we get to that point? We start putting on the altar our hunger and thirst for the things of this world, so we can begin taking in more and more of Yahshua (Jesus), who is our food and our drink.
