Our Ancestors Inherited Falsehood
The prophets foretold that judgment would come for breaking Yahveh’s Commandments, which was continually demonstrated throughout Israel’s history. “The earth is also defiled by its inhabitants, for they violated laws, altered statutes, and broke the everlasting covenant [the Ten Commandments].Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, And those who dwell in it are desolate. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, And few men are left” (Isaiah 24:5-6). The ultimate desolation of the face of this earth as we know it is coming because the Commandments have been traded in for the traditions and doctrines of men.
Messiah told the religious leaders of His day, “In vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’ Neglecting the commandment of Yahveh, you hold to the tradition of men. …thus invalidating the word of [My Father] by your tradition…” (Mark 7:7-8,13). My Father’s Commandments are obliterated by your doctrines and traditions. Yahshua (Jesus) says, “If you love Me [love makes it simple], you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15).
We have been given so much and so much has been obliterated under doctrines and man-made traditions. We have inherited error instead of uncompromised truth. In the book of Jeremiah, we read, “O Yahveh…to You the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, ‘Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood, futility and things of no profit’” (Jeremiah 16:19). This is what we have inherited. It has been passed down. But “every word of God is flawless” (Proverbs 30:5). When the Gentiles came in after the Savior’s resurrection, it is an error to believe that this “Gentilized religious system” of today is what the early believers walked in. That is so far from the truth.
A real deceptive change happened. The enemy stole the glory from Yahveh; he got it for himself because of false worship. Yahshua (Jesus) said to the high-up religious leaders of Israel, “Your worship of Me is in vain,” you might as well not do it because you are confessing Me with your lips but your hearts are far from Me (See Matthew 15:8-9). The religious leaders were in compromise, they had human traditions called the Talmud and the Mishnah—the oral words and interpretation of Yahveh’s laws and Commandments that passed from generation to generation. They were the rabbi’s and scribe’s words. When Yahshua (Jesus) was on the earth, these people were so steeped in tradition that they put tradition as superior to the Torah (the Law)—the word of Yahveh.
At the close of the age, a remnant is coming forth who know that something has been missing, and their hunger and thirst is driving them to search for Yahveh with all their hearts. And He is going to bless, fill, and change them, making them into what He redeemed them to be for His Father’s glory.
