Religious Tradition—Arch Enemy to Yahshua (Jesus)
We want the truth, it leads to eternal life, it sets us free to be what our Savior redeemed us to be—worshippers who would worship Him in His Spirit because we die to our flesh and live by the Spirit. We die to the flesh by living in the truth of Yahveh and Yahshua (Jesus) and the Word magnified through the Scripture. Religious tradition is an enemy to truth, and Yahshua (Jesus) is truth. So religious tradition is an archenemy to Yahshua, the Redeemer and Savior of our souls.
Who do we want to worship? Where is our allegiance? Is it to our religious denomination system with its various man-made doctrines with confessions that are halfhearted lip service because they do not line up to the unequivocal, uncompromised, untainted Word of Yahveh (the LORD) as magnified in the Scripture? Yahshua (Jesus) says, “In vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men’ ”” (Matthew 15:9).
Peter says, “for it is written, ‘Be holy, because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16). “…Without holiness no one will see the Lord [Yahveh]” (Hebrews 12:14). Without holiness we will not see Him. Apart from living according to His written Word, without picking and choosing what suits us according to our denominational predisposition, apart from living from His plumb line of truth, we are going to err. We need to know the Word of God.
Yahshua (Jesus) warned that many would come, falsely speaking in His name. We need to be on our guard in these last days against false prophets who do not speak according to the uncompromised words of Yahveh (the LORD) and false teachers who teach doctrines who have been made up and permeated with human traditions. By the spirit of Satan himself, these false teachers have the power to perform counterfeit signs and wonders. The only way to know the counterfeit is to study and know the real thing in finite detail. So when we see something that does not line up with the real thing we can spot a counterfeit. But the sad thing is, many churchgoers, and professing believers of the most High Creator of heaven and earth, are not well versed in the written Word. They know only what has been taught to them. Most know a distorted version of their religious traditions—they don’t know the abiding presence of the Most High. He abides with those who have come out of this world to be separate and holy. They are the humble faith filled remnant who are welcomed in His Presence where they are changed from glory to glory. They have access into His Presence because they have allowed their God and Savior to circumcise and cut away the flesh, the lusts, and the desires of their hearts that pant for a world that is doomed for destruction.
“The Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). Paul says, “So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12).
“There is a counterfeit move of the spirit out there—and it’s not Yahshua’s Spirit. The father of it is the spirit of the ancient serpent who has been trying to deceive the inhabitants of the earth since the Garden of Eden””
I beseech you, friend, seek Yahveh through His Word and learn to have your mind filled, renewed, and transformed by the truth. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2). Yahshua (Jesus) says, “For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother” (Matthew 12:50). Doing the will of Yahveh God makes us acceptable in His sight. We cannot do His will apart from knowing His Word and yielding to it.
There is so much chaos and commotion in the “religious system”. There are so many signs and wonders and many people saying the Lord said this, God said this, prophesying this, and prophesying that. But I tell you, dear one, that there is a spirit out there that is competing with Yahshua’s pure Spirit. Our Savior healed, delivered, cast out demons—halleluYAH—and He still does these things. But the Enemy is still at work as well, just like he was in the days of Moses in Egypt, to counterfeit and to cause Yahveh’s people to be deceived.
Open your ears, open your eyes, and let Him stir up a passion to know truth, that you will not want just your pastors to teach you. Ask for the Holy Spirit (Ruach Ha Kodesh in Hebrew), the Spirit that separates you from the world, from lies, and to Yahveh. Ask Him to do what Yahshua (Jesus) sent Him to do, to be your Helper and uphold truth: “As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie…” (1 John 2:27).
