The Intoxicant Of Deception

The Intoxicant of Deception

You have got to be smart enough to recognize the schemes of the enemy, the ancient serpent who comes to deceive the inhabitants of the earth (Revelation 12:9, 13:4). His goal is to rob, kill, and destroy, and he does it through deception (see John 10:10). In the intoxicant of deception, we are robbed of knowing and pleasing Yahveh our God and of having the just reward of those who do His will.

It is time for each of us to recognize, beyond any shadow of doubt, the clarity of what our Holy God’s will is. We need to know how far short we have fallen, and what the desires of our hearts are, so that we are aware of our own fleshy inclinations. Apostle Paul says, “Immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you … For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Messiah …” (Ephesians 5:3,5).

Anybody who has fleshy inclinations, the things in which this world partakes and thinks nothing of, upon such people, the wrath of Yahveh will come. Through His jealous wrath, He will utterly destroy anyone who has set up anything in his or her mind or heart or value system that is greater in focus and is greater beloved than He is.

He keeps repeating Himself; “all of us like sheep have gone astray” (Isaiah 53:6). You cannot go through the Scripture without recognizing the repetition through the prophets and the gospels of the judgments to come. Over and over and over, Yahveh God warns His people in the hope, in the unmerited mercy extended to us, until there is no breath of life left, that He will get through to us.
