Do You Care that People are Perishing?

Do you Care that People are Perishing?

When you receive Yahshua’s (Jesus’s) immutable truths, unfailing love, and salvation and don’t freely give it out, you become as a stagnant marshland; stagnant waters in which nothing can thrive or grow spiritually. The stench of it alone repulses our Savior and others rather than bringing the sweet aroma of the Presence of “the rose of Sharon”. (Song of Solomon 2:1) We must become highly sensitive and preoccupied with knowing and seeking with all our heart “what the will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:17) as the great Apostle Paul taught.

To grieve the Father’s heart is a byproduct of either being ignorant of Him and His word as Yahveh (the LORD) says, “My people are destroyed (perish) for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) Or it comes grievously from those who lightly esteem and distort the words of truth, because they have a shallow walk of lip serving faith and their hearts are panting for the things of the world, rather than loving and desiring Yahveh with all of their hearts, minds, and strength. (see Acts 20:30, Matthew 15:8, 22:37)

Many end up grieving the heart of the Father because their self-centered wayward lives do not want the Almighty to rule over them—and they continue to sin justifying it. This is the trampling underfoot of the precious blood that redeemed us to become holy to Yahveh. “How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?” (Hebrews 10:29)

Honestly speaking, we have to ask ourselves, “Do we care that people are perishing if it is an imposition to our lives and what pleases our self seeking inclinations of the heart, and is down right inconvenient and very risky of offending people? But our Heavenly Father says, we cannot possibly please man and Him. We have to choose to please Yahveh (the LORD) or man, and that is life or death, blessings or curses. We must remember what the blood was poured out to redeem us to be. This is part of the commission on our lives in our pilgrimage on this earth, “[Yahshua-Jesus] died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” (2 Corinthians 5:15)

"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.” (Matthew 5:13-15)

To repeat and summarize, how many opportunities do you have a day that you can bring forth words of truth to those who are in darkness? How many times are you clenched with the fear of what other people will think, how they will respond, and what it is going to cost you? How many times are you timid and self-conscious rather than bold and courageous? Apostle Paul says, “… pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel.” (Ephesians 6:19)

We are living in a day where we are going to have to die more quickly and dramatically to the desire of self-preservation to boldly bring the Good News of the gospel to others not by our power or might but by [His] Spirit. (see Zechariah 4:6) It will require circumcised hearts that are impassioned with the love of Yahshua (Jesus) who said, "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, I want to be an ambassador, who is beseeching and imploring others on behalf of Yahshua’s (Jesus’s) atoning sacrificial blood, to be reconciled to You. I have been negligent. I have lived an earthly selfish existence and have neglected the call to be one of Your passionate sold-out ambassadors, willing to lay down my life that others might know You. Please forgive me and help me to willingly embrace any suffering and hardships that following You may bring. I pray to be poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of [others] faith, and to rejoice and share my love and joy with others so they can live. I ask for a fresh anointing to pour out upon my surrendered heart to be a fisher of men, as I seek Your heart and the souls You guide me to in these perilous last days. I thank You for the words Your Spirit of truth You will give me that will draw them with Your cords of lovingkindness into Your kingdom. In Yahshua’s (Jesus’s) precious name I pray, Amen.
